I agree with a previous comment that it's good to show that parents don't suspect people who want to harm their children, so many times the parents don't notice and they don't understand the change in their child either. However, Martin is suspicious and I think it's really strange that Stacey won't even listen to him about it. Surely, you wouldn't react like that if your ex told you there was something dodgy about him, especially as Theo isn't involved with Stacey atm. I can't think of any reason Stacey would completely dismiss the idea that Theo could be grooming Lily.

It really annoys me when EastEnders goes with the most unlikely scenario

When we first found out lily was pregnant and she was asked if someone had groomed her she made a comment about “my auntie Whitney was groomed, I know what to look out for”. So I think the writers are working hard to prove that it can happen twice in the same family, even if they think they’ll know the signs.

I think they’re definitely going down the track of Stacey being too trusting/mind on money. The second Theo said he’d drive them back to Walford from the hospital, Stacey agreed immediately but before that was saying she’d get a taxi back.

that’s my feeling too - but she’s been written incredibly out of character from the moment they found out lilly was pregnant. the “real” stacey wouldn’t be behaving like this in a million years.
