It's interesting that they got Thomas Law back after they ditched him previously. The producer who was in charge during the Lucy murder storyline recast the role to Ben Hardy because they didn't think Thomas was the right actor to carry it off. A bit like when they ditched Harry Reid and recast Ben on his return because they thought the new actor would be better.

Thomas is certainly good looking so I guess it remains to be seen if his acting has improved. It seems that the new producers are listening to fans of the show more now. Remember there were loads of people campaigning to get Kim Medcalf back as Sam for years and they did that too.

All I remember from those episodes are Phil and Grant dancing so badly in a club and wearing really tight denim shorts 😂😂

said shorts, check out Phil 😂

I’v got a clip of Phil dancing in the club that I sent my mate when it aired on the classic episodes, can’t upload it here though which is a shame as it’s fantastic!
He’s bopping away to The Bucketheads - The Bomb song, Grant stood with Nigel looking on on in disgust loool

I really enjoyed that episode, but found a few scenes jarring.

Mainly, the market scene. I get what they were trying to do, putting Ian back on a market stall like he’s going back to his roots. But he said they’d just run there from the gite because Lauren was turning up earlier than expected…so if he wasn’t originally planning on opening up the market stall, why did he have loads of baguettes ready to sell? I know he’d made them the day before but it just didn’t seem to flow properly.

Also, the witness protection liaison, DCI Nicholls/Mary. Did she not find it a bit coincidental that Callum had been searching her name and the very next day that Jackie Ford dies, hence Cindy’s witness protection was over? And she was being very blasé with her, encouraging her to go back to her old life, knowing that at least one person in Walford had reason to be searching for her on the database.

Harry Reid was a great Ben and the actor made Ben far more likeable after the racist thug actor who was playing the Ben that killed poor Heather.

The Market Stall bit was uncomfortable to watch
