i think you’re right.

i would honestly rather they gave that storyline to jay or billy and give another actor the chance to actually get their teeth into something. ben has had depression after “killing” keanu, depression after his hearing loss, depression after breaking up with callum for the millionth time, depression after being raped when he already had depression from being gay batman, now some kind of eating disorder trauma response. i’m just tired of it all.

the idea that he would go to the usa and leave his young daughter when she’s about to lose her mother is ridiculous. but the idea that he would even be allowed into the us with his record is even more so 🤣

You just know they’ll try to set them up with some single guys, get them to upset or offend everyone in the square, then in a couple of weeks completely forget they exist until they need a young woman for an issues storyline. Then they’ll be quietly chucked in the back of a taxi in two years to go travelling or work in a bar in Spain.

The Ben character only seems to be kept around because of the creepy Ballum fandom. Sadly they’d probably kill off Callum over Ben.

Ben was skint a while back, Lola asked him to pay her credit card bill because she’d been away somewhere and Ben said yes but was then making his stupid daily mail sad face as if he couldn’t afford it. Now he’s rolling in it apparently 🤷‍♀️🤔

They haven’t long done a male depression story though with Stuart. The other characters need some decent stories too, not just Ben

They’re not blood cousins but Kathy is/was Martin’s aunt by her marriage to Pete from when he was born and he still sees her as his Aunt even though her & Pete split up more than 30 years ago. Ben is the son of his ‘Auntie’ Kath

This is really sweet. It’s 16 minutes long but it’s Danielle Harold, Perry Fenwick & Jamie Borthwick sitting down together and watching old clips of Lola.

You can clearly see how close they all are and especially how close Perry & Danielle are as they hold hands a lot throughout

Look out for Perry’s reaction to seeing the Margate scenes for the first time

I always find off set episodes so strange, they have a weird vibe about them. I don't really like Lola but I hope she gets even half a day with Lexi like she had with Jay. I know as a Mum that's what I'd want.

The singing was diabolical. Utterly cringeworthy, like when they slept together last year and he said it was like riding a bike, as if realistically, any woman wouldn’t have knocked him out. Joke or not.

There are always a few gaps in the cast around December/early in the new year where cast members have been doing panto. Although nowadays it’s just as likely to be Strictly.

Maybe that’s why Sharon is getting married when it was supposed to be Kat and Phil having a Xmas wedding.
