She was 17 in March 1995. Born July 1977. Back then you could do Page 3 from the age of 16.

Wow. I thought it was 18! Crazy to think of a 16 year old being part of something like that. I suppose that is part of why she had the eating disorder.

I think she would have be 16? Sam Fox was on page 3 when she was 16. I don’t remember this ever being mentioned on Eastenders before though, especially the bit about

Yes it’s definitely been mentioned before on screen. I’ve found this old DS thread from Jan 2014 which mentions the picture that was shown in the previous day’s episode

Edit: found a scene where the Carter’s found the newspaper her picture was in (from the 1 minute mark). If you look carefully it does say on the newspaper that she’s 17
and another scene where some of the male customers found the newspaper and were having a gawp (from the 30 second mark)
The Carters at this point on 9th January 2014 had only been in the Vic just over 2 weeks as they moved in at Christmas 2013

The teen pregnancy was definitely more normalised when I was younger. Like out of my group of 5 best friends there were 3 of us mums before 18, there were all the documentaries as well if anyone remembers like the bbc3 ones, 14 and pregnant etc. This is why I’m abit shocked at EE doing a teen pregnancy storyline when it seems like the teen pregnancy rates are falling
