Exactly. Christian and Syed and Ballum both followed storyline number one. Lots of long, lingering looks across the square. A straight wedding where the closeted person looks sad the whole time and nobody notices or they put it down to nerves. I’m hoping Felix manages to find someone who lives beyond a 0.25 mile radius so he doesn’t have to fall in love with Martin or something.

Also I think Eve is the first lesbian on the square to not have a fling with a bloke. Yet.
I don’t think the lesbian Sonia was with years ago was ever with a man. The nurse

Did they run a Britains most terrible busker comp on Walford Web for todays episode?
It was really bad and the whole episode was really emotional and then someone just wailing in the background???
Also Sonia telling everyone Whit's business, like i get for plot purposes to have people support but fuck off lmao she doesn't need everyone knowing her business at this point. She's such a busybody would hate her to be my nurse

She really is a bad nurse there's such a thing as confidentiality not gossiping about people

It was all I could focus on during those scenes. I get what they were trying to do but it didn't fully work in my opinion.
I know she was evil but I think eastenders is really missing Janine, I quite liked her for some reason, Charlie played her really well. All the characters feel so disposable at the moment, I mean I can't see the actors who play Whitney or Callum ever quiting to do something else but they aren't characters who are going to be long remembered like some others.
Maybe it's because I'm older now but there seems to be a massive age gap missing, it goes from Amy and Lily who are school age to Felix and Chelsea who are all late 20s and early 30s. They don't have ant mid 20s Stacey's or Lucy Beales crawling in from nights out or Lauren sleeping with her cousin.
Nish is so annoying, they need a villan like Michael Moon again.

they are really missing both the early 20s age group (like you say) and having a major antagonist around. every storyline feels so completely separate too, characters seem to only interact with the same other characters over and over, and i feel like we watch the same storyline multiple times.

can only second all the stuff about eve and suki, and how gay relationships are portrayed in this show 99% of the time.

I proper miss old EE. They had a good range of characters as well like it’s supposed to be east London yet it’s so undiverse it’s untrue. There’s no young adults at all, and the ones that live there don’t leave the square, I remember Lauren going uni etc then working in the city of London nowadays they either work in a bar/cafe, a shop, the market or the chippy

Today's episode was dull and boring. I'm often not a fan of episodes around just one story with very few cast members.

All I got from it was Zack mentioning being a Millwall fan, so I checked who James supports in real life and it's actually Sunderland....

I really did not get Millwall vibes from Zack. That really took me aback lol
