They could’ve explored the financial impact of terminal cancer with Lola, she can’t work, applying for the relevant benefits etc which could raise awareness of what help is out there. Instead they’ve chosen Stacey to be voice of the cost of living crisis despite there being 5 working adults in the house and Whitney wanting time off and not knowing she’s self employed despite working on the stall for about 22 years 🤔

A few weeks ago I thought it was brilliant, lots of good storylines all at once, even it was a bit heavy. Teen pregnancy (I actually can not BELIEVE they have let this pregnancy continue), Lolas cancer, HIV diagnosis etc, but the last couple of weeks have been awful. I understand they do touch on conditions like Edwards syndrome but do they think the viewers really want a whole week+ of utter misery? I feel guilty for saying it as it is some people's reality, but at the end of the day it is supposed to be entertainment.

Fast forwarded the Whitney in Labour scenes last week. No matter how sensitively it was filmed I didn’t want to watch it. I really don’t want to see Whitney mourning taking up all the screen time too. I really wish they stop trying make Zak and Whitney happen, they have zero chemistry.

I agree. They did not have to show the birth. They did a similar storyline with Shabnam losing her baby and it felt like they were showing too much.

I’ve said it before but soaps are supposed to be about the ups and downs of life. And at the moment it’s just miserable. Even when they do get good things going, like the Panesaars, they ruin it by going over the top or forgetting key stories.

I love this 🥺

You've made me think now. Ben has agreed to help both Jay and Lola with money, and it looks like they're sowing the seeds to show Ben is struggling with money. Will Callum go all bent (pardon the pun!) copper and collude with Ravi?

I suspect Callum will confront Denise, she’ll plead for him not to tell Mr Shouty. But then Mr Shouty will find out anyway and probably sack Callum. Then Callum will hang around the square for another 15 years and inexplicably live in London with no income until he gets written out.

It’ll disappear and then on a few months time, he’ll need Denise for something in his own storyline that’ll be considered an “I’ll scratch your back..” type of thing
I do wonder if this is why Ravi is showing interest in Denise because he wants to get one over on Jack. For example, we don't know when he got to that hotel or if he met any of his associates there he could manipulate that Denise was involved or plant something in the home to frame Jack

Ooh the shouting and the bursting of buttons on too small coat 😵

I didn't think Nish would be on to Suki and Eve so soon. But then I don't think Suki and Eve would have gave the game away so slopperly.

Don't care if I am alone but I will miss Vi. She was funny and the show doesn't do enough with elderly cast. It's a waste we never saw her fins the child she gave away. The way she spoke to Callum and Ben was cure and funny in equal measure.

Callum has done well for promotions considering his debut scene he was in the back of a van being dodgy.

Good job Sonia was at work or Stacey wouldn't have had any NHS staff to help her burn.
