I was also asking myself why Mr Shouty is investigating Ravi. Surely it’s a conflict of interest and wouldn’t stand up in court you know, them being neighbours, kids being mates and all that? But he’s the Walford old Bill equivalent to resident matron Sonia I guess

Fast forwarded the Whitney in Labour scenes last week. No matter how sensitively it was filmed I didn’t want to watch it. I really don’t want to see Whitney mourning taking up all the screen time too. I really wish they stop trying make Zak and Whitney happen, they have zero chemistry.

Now that they’ve sent Suki away with Eve we are going to have weeks of poverty porn with the Slaters, baby mourning from Whitney. The only not so depressing storyline is the Denise and Ravi getting caught thing.

Two brilliant points. They sell warm sandwiches for about two quid in LONDON!!!! They could double prices to make more money and nobody would bat an eyelid.

I am gutted Vi is leaving. I've always found her scenes interesting. The show needs more OAPs. It's a shame we never got to see her meet her son who she gave away.

Suki is being written as likable all of a sudden. I really liked the scene where she performed reverse psychology on Ashneet. Maybe I am just glad it helps to get rid of Gurlaine Kaur Garcha's terrible acting.

I loved that Zac said to Linda that he has lost a baby too. So many forget the fathers at times like these. Perhaps that was from the director's input.

I don’t get the police thing either, I thought it was pretty unlikely that Jack & Callum would be able to deal with crimes in walford, I thought the police couldn’t operate in the areas they live in? Also, how is Callum allowed to openly be married to a criminal and be a plod cos part of the screening, I’m 99% sure is who you live with etc

I don’t know why they don’t just show us less of Whitney while still keeping it in there for some of the week. You can raise awareness without dedicating a whole week to one topic. They should spread it out with more Lola but I actually think they won’t be bringing Lola’s story back now until it’s the days leading up to her death - I’d love to see her having more last cute moments with her family

I think they’ve fucked up something rotten with Lola’s storyline, there’s too much of a gap now, looks like the plan with that is not revisit til she’s deteriorated which is pointless as wasn’t the storyline to raise awareness of brain tumours

Her cancer appears to be "on hold" which is really stupid and very insulting to any cancer patients who follow EE.

I dont mind the break with Lola storyline (so long as its picked up again nowish) as one storyline gets too much (even if character/actress good).

Just watched yesterdays episode, did Whitney not know she was self employed?? There literally is no joy in Walford is there? Not one 'happy' or light storyline. They need some younger characters, Jed like, to bring a sense of realness.

Where do we think Callumn is going to go with the Denise - Ravi thing?

I know with brain tumors nothing is ever straight forward and there is good and bad periods, but the writers really wanted us to believe Lola was at deaths door a few months ago and would barely survive her own wedding. Next thing she's back from over spending on her honeymoon and has hardly been seen since.

That's something I really hate about EE they are so character heavy for a few weeks/months and then without warning or even a wind down the character vanishes for a while.

I enjoyed the flirting between Denis and Ravi but I'm already so bored of this new direction of him wanting her to find out about the investigation. I wish had dragged Callum along with her on her way, he's miserable and boring and always has the same glum look on his mug

They are not good at humour unlike Corrie which always had a balance of serious issues with lighthearted funny stories and amusing characters. Sonia's lodger and her relationship with the trombonist had potential but they didn't seem to know what to do with it.
