Eastenders did well with the baby loss story (I think) and Zak was really good acting wise. Whitney was good also but just can't stand her character. I just am not invested, not because of the storyline but Whit and Zak were never a real couple so it just didnt feel as 'real'. Its great to bring awareness to the condition but I feel it will be easily forgotten soon and not giving the cause enough justice. Had Lola not have the tumour I think Lola and Jay would have done the story more justice.

Also the HIV story got put on the backburner, I'm guessing they'll revisit again now but I feel the timing was off. It will now be uncovered and there will be the Zak blame game and more misery between the two.

I just wish they hadn’t done the baby story on top of the HIV story, one totally takes away from the other, too much going on. I’m still disappointed they ruined the DV storyline but turning Gray into a panto villain serial killer!

they’ve done this constantly recently, no storyline is allowed to stand by itself. it’s like ben being some kind of gay vigilante into the rape storyline, or giving ravi about ten storylines in one at the start. it only ends up in the whole thing getting muddled.

i hate whitney overall but, gosh, shona is an amazing actress. i get them giving her this relentless misery because she always sells it so well. even so, i think it’s time for whitney to have an extended break now.

Actually really hoping Nish is one who gets whacked by one of the ladies at Christmas because he's a slimey, abusive snake.

Yeah , cheers Vinnie for arranging for him to come back to live with the family & not speaking to anyone about it first. He’s a bit of a pointless character really every now and agin he’s a whipping boy for Suki & Nish , but even the storyline with Dotty he was a wet wipe

Considering he was away for 20 years and missed out on a lot of the tech advances (internet, smart phones etc) Nish seemed to come out of prison and slot right now. Even with their 'businesses' he seems to have taken over but with no experience, i assume no contacts. We never see him actually 'do' anything. He must be in some sort of organised crime to have such a hold.

How far along is Lily now? Still find Staceys handling of Lily's situation so bizarre. The health consequences alone needs to be explored further.

Eastenders has definitelt improved, more characters are shown interacting, good storylines, ok writing but still the community disconnect.

What could be done to bring the community feel/old eastenders vibe back?

They need to start filming properly in the Vic again! I know people don't go to pubs anymore and they're trying to show the realities of struggling businesses blah blah but when have EE cared about realism?
A bustling pub is the heart of a soap and they won't last without them.
Oh and they need to show casual interactions between characters as well, not just forced ones during a big storyline- it needs to feel more natural

Anyone else surprised Sonia didn’t turn up to deliver Whit’s baby? Surely supernurse Sonia has midwifery skills?

Eve’s character just comes across as pathetic now. She follows round Suki like a puppy and is then happy to resume things with her, despite being treated like shit for weeks. Have some respect woman.

I agree! Ash and Vinnie are both pointless characters and I don't think the actors are necessarily bad (albeit not very strong) the writers haven't developed them very well. They focused a lot on Kheerat and he was great but there's a big void since his departure within the family.

Or swap the pub for a bustling foodbank
