Ahhh ok, I’ve not seen it yet this week so not seen what he looks like. I’ll make sure to pay attention when I watch it see if I can figure out what he might have had done!

Sounds like a nasty accident so I guess he had a few things done. Poor guy.

Looks like Phil is back at Xmas and they’ll be picking up the Billy storyline. Yawn.

Absolutely heartbreaking episode. Ricky has lost his Grandmother, the one stable woman in his life for many years, Amy too. After all those children have been through. Jack's mother died and Dot was the only real mother figure in his life. I had hoped that Dot would return one day and reclaim HER laundrette. She was a pillar of the community and to have her life taken from her is a great shame. The only comfort is that she died peacefully. I really was welling up when Sonia said "goodnight Dot".

The writing for this has been lazy though. No cause of death given, just a headache. Was it a stroke, a brain hemmorhage? People don't just go to bed and die. Why isn't Charlie saying the cause?

What the hell did Dotty spend 10 grand on?
She dresses like a goth and all her worldly possessions can be carried around in a couple of bin bags 😄 it annoyed me when she let Feliix con her into buying everyone drinks.

So who's going to get Dot's money?
Charlie, Sonia, Dotty or the local cats home 🤫
I have a feeling that Dotty will steal it all and do a runner.

I’ve heard of people dying in their sleep loads of times, especially people of Dot’s age.

If Dot only died that morning there would not have been a post mortem done on her yet to determine cause of death so that may not be known for a few days

I swear soaps exist in a space/time continuum 😅 It only feels like a couple of years since Ricky was in it, same with Janine and loads of characters who pop in and out every few years. Maybe it's cos I watch the classic episodes 🤷‍♀️
Tbh I still consider Mick and Linda to be fairly 'new' characters then i remember they've been in it for nearly 10 years 😂

Any character who wasn’t in it in the 80s/90s is a new character in my mind. I think that’s why Dot’s death hits hard. I vaguely remember being a little kid and watching Dot and being scared of Nick Cotton.

I also wondered what Dotty spent the money on. She could have sent it to her mum or something I suppose. Also, piss poor writing around Harvey’s savings. Jean maxed out his credit cards. Wouldn’t make sense for him to have money sitting around when he’s paying huge amounts of interest.

Had Ricky B ever worked with this version of Sam?
Im just double checking cause I don’t think he has or the “I hardly recognised you” line wouldn’t have made sense.

Hopefully this means no more Alfie
