Dexter: New Blood

I got very excited when I saw the new episode appear on sky this week. Anyone else drawn in yet?

Not sure about the ice cold winter setting in contrast to his Miami days… but I’m a dedicated Dexter fan so I’m giving it a go!
A bit slow to start I thought and a bit predictable! Especially the person following him! None the less i love dexter and glad to see him back hopefully the second episode be better :) x

Episode 5 - the cliff hanger! What do you guys reckon will happen?
I think that the police will work to find out that Jim is Dexter. Whilst Dexter works out Kurt is a murderer. Harrison opens up to Dexter who will show him how to cope/teach him the code. He will teach Harrison by showing him the code on Kurt but the police will show up as it’s happening and catch him.

@Former_Antelopee I think that....

Angela won't let on that she suspects Jim is Dexter. She will continue to stay close to him and start asking him about his life before he moved to Iron Lake. She will try to build up evidence to support her theory, possibly with the help of that podcaster.

Harrison will possibly kill that kid who gave him the drugs at the party, or do something to harm him.

Dexter will work out that Kurt is the murderer of all those homeless kids - he saw him at the diner with the homeless girl. Dexter will go after Kurt and possibly kill him in the final episode. Kurt looks to be pretty big, so Dexter will have to carefully plot how he will incapictate him. He will maybe get Harrison to do the actual kill, after all Kurt is trying to draw Harrison in so maybe Harrison will get some kind of revenge?

Maybe Harrison will work out that Angela knows Dexter's true identity, and he will kill her? Or Dexter will kill Angela to protect himself. I can see Angela getting in touch with Angel Batista and picking his brains about Dexter.

Also, I think Jennifer Carpenter is a terrible actress, and I hate Deb's character so much! The aggressive OTT persona and constant swearing really grinds on me.

I could see Angela building her case maybe with her daughter since Harrison told her that Jim isn’t his real name. I could see her bringing Angel Batista to Iron Lake and making him run into Dexter to see how they both react. I did find it a bit strange though as when he said about Debs death to Angela, he also mentioned about Dexters death but mentioned nothing about what he had done and didn’t seem like he hated Dexter? I could see Batista saying how great a cop Angela is for catching Dexter and saying that she remind him of Deb since he said how Deb was a great young detective
I also dislike Deb why did they have to bring her back

Dead ghost Deb is my least favourite part of this. I am loving the rest of it!!

She is incredibly annoying, isn't she? To be honest, I never liked Deb at all.

Loving it too and need to catch up. I hope they carry on the focus of his old life coming back to haunt him rather than going off on a complete tangent. Not so keen on the teenagers storylines, reckoning they are trying to appeal to a younger audience but it seemed a bit “twilight” in places.

It looks like his old life is starting to catch up on him now. First we had Harrison, and now we have Batista making an appearance!
