I get people like Carl from the radio show but come on. No one can honestly say he deserved to win. Nor do I believe it was a genuine public vote. It’s such blatant RTE bullshit but sure what else can you expect from them? Lottie Ryan and Mairead Ronan won their years too - and neither should have, but the rte staff are always going to win. What a farce of a show. #dancingwiththeSTAFF

I also think it was absolute bitchyness of Lorraine to give Brooke a 9 and CRITICISE her showdance.

Fuming that Brooke didn't win, definitely dint thunk Carl deserved to win at all, he has improved since the start but still looked like an amateur and nowhere near comfortable on the stage as a dancer..

Agree but when you look back he must have had some amount of votes he showed a video during the week of a place that fans and family etc was watching and showed them when he got through to the final there was some numbers there plus he never had to do the dance off that I can remember

I didn't watch this series closely so not really that invested but I'm gutted Brooke didn't win as she was a really good dancer.

I wonder if the show will be coming back next year??
I read a few months ago this was the last series due to high running costs. And that’s why they shortened this series by 1 or 2 weeks too. I’ve always loved the show but I think it’s run its course. RTE were never going to invest like Strictly. Even showing it on a Sunday evening at 6.30 and not a Saturday night show was probably a miss.

My late thoughts as I've just finished watching.

Suzanne's legs are so long that your eyes are drawn to them so no room for errors. That's how I noticed how bent her legs were in her showdance, plus she kinda stood still waiting to be picked up and that broke the momentum.

Loved Brooke throughout and she was my favourite to win but I didn’t like her showdance.

Damien's showdance was a farce since the pro did all the dancing and he just carried/lifted her.

I loathe contemporary dancing but was honestly moved by Carl's showdance. He's had the best journey really and worked his sparkly bum off. Delighted for Emily as well.

What a crock of tit. Honestly imagine working as hard as Brooke did and being the standout dancer every single week to lose to Carl 🙄 as much as it’s “just an entertainment show” she must be disappointed.

Yeah and no at the end of the day he got all the public votes I really loved Brooke and so happy so sue did not win. Happy for Carl but he will not stop going on about it now

I thought her little comment when Dzoireann was asking her about the end of them dancing and she quipped "for now" was a little telling and I hope a subtle hint! They look well together.

There’s a 15 year age gap between them although you wouldn’t think it, he looks younger than he is.

I’m glad it wasn’t Suzanne to be fair Brooke and Damien both have musical backgrounds so if you were to take it most improved it probably is Karl... seems like he put in the effort... I was hoping for Brooke though

100% agree!
Carl definitely most improved as Brooke was brilliant from the very beginning!
I turned on RTE2fm in the car yesterday and in the few mins I listened, the amount of times they mentioned voting for Carl was ridiculous! Like how can RTE who are running this show, advertise for one to win over the others? What's the point in the "competition" then like 😂 of course he was going to win with that much of a following, what chance did poor Brooke have

ALSO ☕ I heard of a person at a party that Carl was at and he was not sound at all and totally arrogant, wouldn't even say hello and watching around to see who was laughing at him etc

I'd heard someone on another forum say they often bumped into Robert at one of the gay bars in Dublin so was a bit dubious about rumours with him & Brooke (could of course be bi). Though he is more youthful than the average guy in his late 30s, there is still a 15 year age gap and he does live in Poland. So I don't think anything will happen there.

I don’t think it matters about the age gap to be honest
