Two things that have bugged me about Corrie recently:
1. The pandemic barely exists apart from inconsistent mask wearing. I know it’s filmed in advance so can’t always be exactly up to date with the rules and guidelines but it’s not really reflecting what we’re going through, illness/deaths, livelihoods affected and so on.
2. Last week gails dad died, within a couple of days she had received her inheritance (probate takes months of not years normally) and the same day successfully bid for David’s house and within five minutes had moved in! Also why would anyone (particularly tracy at least David and Gail have an attachment to it) want to buy a house with a sinkhole in the garden?

yes I’m probably overthinking it I’ve been in lockdown too long!

Don't overthink it :) My Fathers will was sorted out and distributed within a month although he did it right.
Yes the probate was done quickly but hey, it is soap. We all still want to watch it so they do what they have to do to keep it going. 👍

I know what you mean they were quite good in the beginning with Aggie at hospital etc.But the kids still in uniform and Simon going on about sixth form along with the pub being open is not on.I also hate how quickly soa

I hate it when all the business deals go through so quickly in soaps so unrealistic I’m sure you can put a clause in contracts. Also hate that the pub and schools are still open.So wish they would catch up they were better in the first lockdown with Aggie working at the hospital and the rainbows in the windows.
And they are still going on holiday. Grrr!

I love Kevin’s sister. Does anyone remember her many many years ago in a children’s programme Johnny Briggs. You’re probably all too young! She always stole the scene then. You kind of believed she had done Ray in but weren’t surprised when she went to that hotel and he came out of the bathroom!! Me and my hubby both shouted we knew it. Sad of us really!
yes I do !

YES!! The comedy is brilliant in the Rovers. Kevin's affair. All round much more enjoyable!
yes i am ..im also watching the classic eastenders..its storylines are so much better than now..still got Bianca ricky etc in it
sorry for derailing 😉

I read that Tyrone and the Eastern European girl who got trafficked were going to have an affair. And the freezer scenes were really drawn out. I just wished they’d die. Or get rescued. All the chattering teeth story lines were borrring! The scenes dealing with leeannes grief have been done well. The way when you feel a little bit brighter but then all of a sudden you get hit by overwhelming grief again!

I thought I read she gives birth prematurely? Although not sure how far she is along now
I’ve been watching Mafsa but her bump seems to have grown overnight👀😂

yes I do !

Same loving old Eastenders Tiffany and Simon

I agree the lack on pandemic is annoying me,it just doesn't feel relevant at all. There are so many stories they could do about it... It actually seems odd people talking about going into town and doing things.
They could easily get over the time difference by saying there's a local flare up - if things really were different for us. They'd only need to film one scene with some characters saying how sad they are that the rest of the country can do X,Y, Z and they can't because Weatherfield's R number was up or something...and pop it at the beginning of the episode.
