The sleep apnea story with George is annoying me! They literally had him making an appointment with his GP, seeing them, I presume, the same day, and getting a CPAP machine there and then!

I have obstructive sleep apnea like George, and I was diagnosed by our local hospital (after having to wear an oximeter for 2 nights), and then referred to the nearest nhs sleep clinic for a CPAP machine which took about 3 months for the appointment to come through. You have to have be shown how to use, and clean the machine - they're expensive bits of kit.

Legally, you have to inform the DVLA that you've been diagnosed, and your driving licence is revoked until the hospital confirms to DVLA that you have been using the CPAP for a minimum of 4 consecutive hours per night (you're monitored remotely for ever).

I don't expect the writers to do the story in real time, but I do think it'll come as a bit of a shock to anyone who goes to their GP expecting it to be dealt with there and then to discover it's more complicated and takes bloody ages.

Dr Gaddas is the most specialised GP in the entire country it would seem - she manages to diagnose everything in a ten minute appointment!

Was saying pretty much the same while watching this nonsense.

Am I the only one who is finding it hard to muster up any sympathy with Peter and Aggie over this storyline about this surgeon?

So what if he did the operation in super quick time and did it for a bet. As long as he didn’t cut any corners I don’t see what the big deal is

They’ve now thrown in the selfie pic to make it sound more ‘shocking’. Yes the selfie is in poor taste but I think Peter is over-reacting a bit
I thought exactly the same thing! Totally overreaction. Also, shouldn't Aggie be disciplined for breaching confidentiality

Thorne is an arrogant prick but I didn't like the way Peter was getting all snide about his upbringing and school. It just didn't sit right. ... Ken was quite right in saying he was coming across as having a chip on his shoulder.

Also the bollocks about saying 'don't upset him, you may need him in the future' ... it doesn't work like that people. There are other surgeons out there!!

Am I the only one that wonders why the question of Toyah once passing someone else’s baby off as hers and even convincing her partner at the time (Peter) that he was the father wasn’t raised at the court hearing for baby Alfie?
It sure isn’t a ringing endorsement for her character where babies are concerned!

The writers/ producers have probably forgotten

Absolutely how did she ever get passed for fostering or adoption either.

I know it’s wasn’t meant to be funny but when summer declared undying for that lad she met at her diabetic club then went into her woe is me act and he couldn’t escape quick enough made me laugh. How do they manage to make such serious subjects as eating disorders and coping with diabetes unintentionally funny. I don’t feel sorry for her at all because it’s all so contrived and she’s a poor actress!!
