They’d get universal credit and part of that payment would be based on them having children Joseph would get it and then normally it’s only for up to 2 kids but it’s different with multiples so no idea what they’d get for quads .Prob a fair bit but then there’s a benefit cap .I’m guessing they have a mortgage on the house so they wouldn’t get any help with that .They’d get a fair bit in child benefit but I reckon they’d still be skint even with the benefits .It wouldn’t be loads at all

When she gave birth to not one but 4 bloody babies on that stupid zip line thing !
move never heard such an unrealistic storyline in all my life ! Worse than when that fella came back from the dead in Eastenders!
The first one was born in the Cable Car above the Orme in Llandudno, the others in hospital. 🚠🚡🚠🚡

Yeah only if they were renting .But who owns the house ? I don’t think you can just walk into food banks like people assume you can .I’ve heard you have to be referred ,but I’m not sure how true that is
Doesn’t fiz own it? As that’s where she lived with John stape? Or did chesney somehow buy it from fiz at some point?

Yeah you have to be referred you can’t just turn up to one, I think by citizens advice? I’ve also heard of health visitors giving out food bank referrals in the past.

I thought Chesney owned the house and you don’t get housing benefit for mortgage payments.

Craig and that bloody crutch is doing my head in.

That’s what I thought, they’ve got five kids and Chesney would probably be on minimum wage from Dev, does Gemma still work? I’m sure they would get a decent amount in benefits. They would prob get universal credit I think.
That’s if they have got quads, you never see them 😂
They’d probably be entitled to disability allowance too for the little one that is deaf.
And probably carers allowance for him.

He lives at number 5 which I think belongs to the council, has done since the Battesby family moved into it.

There is also some confusion about the ownership of the house in more recent years. In 1997 the house was repossessed and sold to the council, and it remained a council property until at least 2002, when a storyline was run in which Les Battersby, facing eviction for subletting, passed off Kirk Sutherland as his boyfriend. However, in 2011, Chesney Brown and his pregnant girlfriend Katy Armstrong faced eviction by an unseen landlord when they fell behind with rent payments; as Chesney had been putting all his money towards paying expensive vet bills for his beloved dog
  • 1997-? - Metropolitan Borough of Weatherfield
After a period of at least five years, No.5 was bought by an unnamed landlord.
  • ? to present - Unnamed landlord
By 2011, the house was being rented out privately.

Did Chez live there with Katy, and did Owen, her dad, buy it for them? Or did I imagine that
This is from Corrie famdom page.

I knew it had been a council house at some time.
So privately rented now?
