I genuinely don’t think max looks that old. I think he’s meant to be 14 and looks it imo. It’s just that old Max used to be a lot younger looking.

Yeah I agree , I think they've actually cast right for the age this time and doesn't seem a massive jump from the old actor

I think Gary feels Guilty about killing her dad? And just sort of looked out for her when she appeared on the street. Faye is in prison for attacking Adam when she thought he was Ray
