I seriously need to keep myself off this thread lmao, I'm in New Zealand so you are all about a week ahead of me. I'm just at the episode where Billy and Todd think it's an eating disorder, and while I'm very pleased to discover on here that it's not (as someone with anorexia it makes for bloody awkward family viewing  ) I kinda wish they would do an ED storyline - as apart from a brief stint with Bethany they've not really run one.

Anyway, with diabetes I thought you were meant to get super hungry not lose your appetite!

The basket of fruit from Paul was slated by Todd but my neighbour is diabetic and we send a basket of fruit at xmas as his wife said he can have fruit, Not 100% sure what type of diabetes he has but he does glucose tests (a friend was a medical rep and once gave me a glucometer for him) and I am fairly sure he uses insulin... I think soaps need to be careful with the information they put out regarding medical conditions

I’d say he’s type one if he has to monitor his sugar and takes insulin. Type 1 means your pancreas stops or doesn’t produce enough insulin to breakdown sugars type 2 means your body becomes insulin resistant meaning your body cannot get rid of the excess sugar you eat. You can eat fruit but it is wise not to binge eat it because it has lots of natural sugar. That’s why the fruit basket is not a good idea as most normal people would struggle to eat that amount of fruit before it goes off without giving themselves the shits from too much sugar and fibre!

Type 2 take o

For info Type 2 can need insulin too and need to monitor blood sugars ☺️

My Nanna is type 2 and managed it for nearly 30 years with medication, but recently had to move to insulin to control it better.
Yeah exactly if HbA1c bloods show that the longer glyceamic control is too high then need to add in insulin with the medications.
Was replying to previous poster but they were also right in saying fruit should be in moderation. The soap isn’t wrong to highlight that, I certainly wouldn’t be advising my type 1 or 2 patients to be eating baskets of fruit 😕

I'm sure he doesn't eat the whole basket 😂😂 but fruit is allowed... I was disappointed to see them make out fruit was forbidden...if it was a tin of roses I would have expected that to be scoffed at😉

That fruit was very sour though!! Like soaps at the moment they always do something to trivialise things
Ah poor Paul, he tried his best😂
Thought Fiz was the best I have seen her( acting wise) this evening... No over acting, came across genuinely considerate and supportive to Ty-Less is more with her ... As for the Alina bombshell... Hmmmm not necessary Corrie

What happened I remember Rita saying she had £9000 but then I must have zoned out after that 😆 sorry
She came back from bank and was stalling, made tea and Sharon obviously wanted the money, she was trying to be clever and said something like if Rita didnt want to give her the money that she would be ok, would make out fine type thing so Rita called her bluff and said that Sharon was right, she would be ok and Rita didn't want Sharon to feel she was beholding to her😂...obvs Rita twigged she was only there for the cash... Got nowt... Might have missed a bit but that is basically it

Fiz was out of order taking the pics of Tyrone if she showed this much interest in him when she was with him maybe he wouldn’t have left her for Alina.I don’t find any of the Tyrone V Fiz situations funny at all despite Fizs best efforts. They are no Jack and Vera.I get they want to show Ty and Alina loved up but they have done enough already tattoos are too much.Plus they will only forget about them like they do with everything else.No way would Daisy get a loan on her shite earnings.Boring witch.
