I was wondering what that was all about with Steven asking about people's ringtones. Just read an article and it said it was because he heard Tim's phone ring when he was at the canal. That totally passed me by. I just thought Steven was wanting a jazzy new ringtone. Shaggy "It wasn't me" could be a good choice for him.

The problem with storylines like Paul's is that they become so miserable that in the end I just want the character to hurry up and die!! I felt the same with the Leanne/ Oliver storyline too.

Paul's illness seems to be moving quickly too. The one person I knew who had MND progressed over 4 years until their death. I know everyone is different but did they have to show Paul deteriorating so fast. That's what leads to all the misery. It's so concentrated.

In fact, the Leanne/Oliver storyline really annoyed me because the audience should have had nothing but empathy and heartbreak for Leanne and in the end they made her so vile I lost all sympathy.

The nasty stuff she said to Toyah was unforgivable imo

and the Leanne/Oliver storyline was meant to raise awareness of the condition that he had but I couldn’t tell you what that condition was because of the vile way Leanne spoke to everybody, including the medical professionals, that I was so pissed off at her I couldn’t get invested in the story enough to care what Oliver had

Yep couldn't tell you what he had! I really hated Leanne during that storyline. I had zero sympathy for her. Jane Danson really does vile Leanne so well it makes me wonder what she's like in real life!
