For some reason Adam, who’s a lawyer and should be aware of this type of thing, completely bought what Sarah told him and didn’t question why the results weren’t sent on paper. At the end of episode we saw Sarah rip up the letter & envelope (which looked unopened) and put it in the bin next to the small garden opposite the tram stop

Tbf I don’t think Sarah meant to lie at first. She was just telling him not to worry about it now and for some reason he suddenly decided he was the dad

Not only would Adam, who is a lawyer and a man with common sense, be aware that the results would come in a letter, he’d also want to see the results for himself. He’s desperate to be the dad, he knows Sarah wants him to be the dad and can hardly trust her at the mo so why on earth would he trust her to tell the truth? In this situation you’d demand to see the results for yourself not believe your cheating wife!
 
What I'm saying is I think hes too scared to find out the truth incase it is Damons so was just taking Sarah's word for it as that bit of hope but he knows really that she lied about the phone call and is just putting on a front

Please tell me someone understands what I'm saying 😂 I get all your points about him being a lawyer and not thick but that's not what I mean

I could be wrong, it was just a thought

Yes I know what you mean, he's really struggled with this, so he's clung onto what she's said about it being his. We've seen snippets of him still struggling as last night he was pulling at his shirt collar again so he has some niggling doubts still ...but maybe can't bear the thought of asking for the letter and it all crashing down yet . Daniel is suspicious though.

Yeah this is exactly what I meant , Daniel probably has an idea too and doesn't want to push Adam but he should just confront Sarah himself

I absolutely get what you’re saying. I just don’t think the Corrie writers are that clever 🤣
