I feel every so often the show gets to a point where the storylines just stall. At the moment I feel I could stop watching for a few months and when I tune back in it will be much and such the same. Except with an added new drug dealer or some other criminal. I think it is time for Ian McLeod to step aside and let someone else take over.

Defo not a fan here, she’s horrendous. Don’t know the actress at all so no idea if it’s her or the writing but can’t stand the character (looks so plastic) and wouldn’t want to be anywhere near her.

Eastenders is fantastic at the moment after being abysmal for the last 10 years. Before that it was winning every award going. I think the shows just go through crappy periods. Corrie and Emmerdale are both suffering from over exposure to crappy characters/storylines nobody cares about whereas EE is utilising legacy characters and building on established relationships.

Corrie will come back around in a few years hopefully.

I watched it for years! Absolutely loved it but it became so dire about 10 years ago, I ended up with about 30 episodes recorded and no desire to watch any of them so I just deleted them all and never watched another episode. Emmerdale and corrie are headed that way too at the moment but I’m clinging onto hope that they’ll improve. I would love to get back into eastenders - these posts are encouraging me to do it (even though it’ll be like starting from scratch as I won’t have a clue what’s going on!)

I’ve not watched EE for many years due to the tv license requirement. Is there a way to watch old EE anywhere? Like they’ve put old Neigbours on prime freevee.
