I understand where you're coming from!! He's actually gone from me laughing at everything he does to being one of the best ones in it. I think his unravelling will be fun to watch.
I do think he genuinely likes Jenny though.
When I did the Corrie tour I took photos of the back of the factory. When my daughter asked why I said 'this is were Stephen killed some bins'.

With Elaine it was obvious he just loved her money, but he loves Jenny.

Ooh like that film when the two kids go to stay with their grandparents & after a couple of weeks of absolute batshittery they face time their mum & she says "that's not your grandparents!!" & it turns out it's two old crazies that escaped from the mental hospital & killed the kids grandparents.
