Very difficult scenes re Little Mo & Trevor but incredible performances. The way it was intercut with the jovial pantomime rehearsals made it even more moving, not knowing what goes on in a marriage.

I remember watching the scenes as a 16 year old thinking why oh why doesn't she just leave? I get it now. Her self esteem was on the floor and the way he tempered his cruelty with an outpouring of 'remorse' and tenderness afterwards. She probably felt she was the only one who could save him and that only he could truly love her 'faults and all'
