Classic Eastenders #2 Lisa & Louise have gone overseas & it’s far too soon for Alfie Moon

Where are you all watching this?

‘Drama’ channel, weekdays, 2 episodes per day. Usually starts from about 12:40pm

Or you can use the UKTV Play Catch Up service

We’re currently in January 2005. The Drama channel started showing Eastenders from the very beginning (Feb 1985) in August 2018 so they’ve taken 5.5 years to show nearly 20 years of episodes

I missed a couple episodes and didn’t even realise Spencer had already left. Was it a big exit?

This was posted in the DS Classic Eastenders thread (this was written on 14/02/24)

I have the catch up on the fire TV. Can't wait for this

Note all the subtle references to 80's and 'golden years'.

Juley telling little Mo today, to 'move on from the 80's', being one example.

At this point of EE, it was getting heavy criticism from the fans and press.

The writers clearly thought it was 'clever' to have a dig at fans, who kept referring back to better times in the past.
