I was reading earlier that there were plans to bring back Wilmott-Brown in 2021 for one final stint.

Rumours were also circulating in 2022 of a Chrissie Watts comeback.

Both didn't happen obviously.

As much as I adored Chrissie, I really don't see what storyline there would be to tell if she came back. Apart from a bit of drama with Sharon, the cast has changed too much for pretty much anyone else to really care enough. Maybe the Slaters because of Zoe, but I just think Chrissie should be left as an icon of EastEnders past.

The guy who plays Mitch in the new eastenders as a detective in the old episodes and interviewing Paul I never knew this

He was really good as well. Its a shame they never gave the actor anything to get his teeth into when he played Mitch

He makes a much better copper than the modern day Jack & Callum do

She is and I don't see the appeal at all! I loved Paul so his downfall was so upsetting because he's such a complex character who clearly wants to be good but can't seem to stay out of trouble. It's a shame they killed him off because he was always the more interesting Trueman brother.

I love Paul too, wish he got a happy ending.

I found out the actress who played the female detective (who was interviewing Paul) passed away about a year after these episodes were originally broadcast.

I'm finding it quite hard knowing what happens to Paul, he was a complex character, but I loved the soft side to him.
