Chloe - BBC

I really enjoyed it!

I'll pop all of this under a spoiler just in case:
I wish there had been just one more episode to pull everything together and explain a few things ... maybe they're hoping for a second series to do that?

I'm not sure if some of the flashbacks and quietened talking behind her were her paranoia or reality ...

I found Liv to be a bit of a witch in all honesty. She had no shame living as if she was loaded, yet couldn't afford to pay Becky because of "cashflow" issues. And there she was cheating on her husband like that ... awful.

I found it annoying how much was shot with very little light - I watched it mainly during the day, so couldn't see what was happening.

How much cash did she give the retirement home to keep her mum there? And where did that come from? (I guess she stole it from the house or caravan?).

How did her sister die? I thought I saw a glimpse of a young child near a bath - did I imagine that? But then, Chloe said in the letter Becky found, "Sorry to hear about your sister" - so her death must've been more recent?

What about that $5k loan she took out in her mum's name - and the other debt she had collectors calling about? And then there was her balance for the members-only club ... did she pay for that?

Josh was an absolute honey ... she should've just run away with him!

I agree the caravan was fantastic - perfectly adequate to live in and wow, that view - stunning.

I was surprised that Chloe's mum was so pleased to see Becky - because didn't she phone Becky's mum and tell her to stop asking for her? (Maybe Becky's mum made that up just to be spiteful?). Chloe's dad didn't seem happy with her visit though.

I wondered about her old banger of a car too, but VW Golfs do have a bit of a cult status (well, they do where I'm from), even though it was an old model. The way she loaded it with rubbish certainly didn't speak 'rich' though.
Sister as far as I can tell, drowned in the bath. I'm not clear on when Chloe wrote that letter to Becky either. Maybe Becky didn't tell her until the last minute. Liv was foul, especially in the way she spoke to people who worked for her. She's sweet as pie until they outlive any usefulness.

The cash came from the chocolate box she found in the hotel cloakroom. I think that was Chloe's money that she'd taken from the account to leave head Elliot.

I enjoyed it.

I think Liv was probably trying to confirm beckys thoughts about Elliot, a seed of doubt had been planted, hence she did some digging herself and found the caravan.
Chloe calling her was probably a desperate attempt to find someone to help. We saw that Elliot and Chloes mutual friends wrote her off and downplayed her feelings.

she put down about 3k to the carehome

The man with Chloes mum was a step dad, not her father.

could someone tell me what liv says to Chloe in the final episode when they are in the caravan? Sounds like you made me sell my kids??? I couldn’t make it out. Definitely thought Liv had more to do with it. Really disliked her character

I really enjoyed it!
I wish they had tied things up though, so did Elliot kill Chloe then? Or was that clear and their was just no repercussions? Also wish their was a catch up with what Becky was going to do with her life going forwards.
The sister story line I felt a bit unclear as well, she said to her mum she wasn’t too blame but then in the flash back surely she would notice the sister drowning and be able to help?

I think she was only a young child herself when her sister drowned and may well not have understood the concept of drowning. I wasn't sure if her mother's mental health issues were caused by the drowning or if neglecting her children in the bath was indicative of her mental health issues, too.

For much of the drama you're not sure what is real and what is Becky's imagination so in a way leaving the ending not totally tied up was true to the story.

For what it's worth, I'm not sure that Liv actually did visit Becky in the caravan at the end. I think that could have been imagined too. As others have said, Liv visiting the caravan made no sense.

For me, what it was a character study, or more specifically about getting over the past in order to move forward. The main character had loads of obstacles she had to overcome - her mum, her sister's death, her inferiority complex, etc. It's like a coming of age story, and she had to cast off all these shackles of guilt, where she felt she'd let people down, and realise she wasn't responsible for any of it, and ultimately stop letting stuff she had no control over ruin her entire life. And I think that 's what made it powerful to me.

I just finished it, and although I enjoyed it overall I also feel like there are a lot of unanswered questions! Very interesting how in the first episode Becky creeped me out and seemed like a psycho, but
We were rooting for her by the end. Also found it a bit annoying how they constantly showed a clip of Becky getting the phone call from Chloe at 2.45 on the night she died.
More spoilerific questions:
Did Elliot kill Chloe or not? Why did Liv turn up at the caravan? Was the The Smiths lyric post on Chloe's Instagram actually for Becky? Why did Chloe go to the pool and just jump in and then get out again?

I thought the same thing about Becky's car, and I wonder where she got the fancy clothes from! The lilac dress she wears in the final episode is so pretty (In case anyone cares I looked it up and it's from Self Portrait so quite pricey)

The pool bit was so it looked to Elliot when he picked her up that she’d been swimming but she’d been plotting her escape from him… I think.
