Children's BBC in the 1980s

I was an 80s kid and always watched BBC. I can remember when Philip Schofield started in the broom cupboard in 1985, and loved all the shows back then, not just the staples like Blue Peter and Grange Hill, but the less remembered ones like, Beat The Teacher, Johnny Briggs and Cheggars Plays Pop. I recently saw some YouTube videos of the broom cupboard back then and it made me feel nostalgic.
Are there any 80s kids here who loved CBBC back then? Share your memories, and the shows you remember.
 
was 85 schofield in the broom cupboard, crikey, it makes sense, but it just feels weird to look back on memories, its so long ago yet feels like time has been on fast forward.

Grange hill was by far my favourite, i was a little but too young for Tucker, but about 10 years ago i managed to buy the first 16 series that were taped off the TV on VHS and then put onto DVDs, obviously the quality isnt great but being like that they take me back, so i was able to watch all episodes from series 1, fantastic memories, ive seen the odd episodes of the later series and they are just appalling, nothing will ever have that magic like 80's kids TV
 
Anyone else remember T TV with Scragtag the cat? It's very obscure, but would have been in in 1985/86. It was set in a back yard with a scruffy cat puppet

I loved Cities of Gold. It was one of those cartoon series that went in forever 😆
Also recall Take Two. What was Philip Like? Was this in the late 80s?

Does anyone remember Galloping Galaxies, and Rentaghost? Both written by Bob Block.

He was ok tbh, same off camera as on. One of the boys from my school accidentally said ‘bollocking’ during filming and he really laughed. It was late 88/early 89.
 
I remember they did a really really good adaptation of The Box of Delights in the run up to Christmas one year, which we all really enjoyed. We all loved The Borrowers as well, but I think that may have been the 90s.
 
I used to like the autumn dramas the BBC did like moondial and chronicles of Narnia with the rather scary looking white witch on a Sunday evening.

not sure if it was BBC but anyone else watch Children's Ward? it was aimed at children but was actually quite harrowing at times from what I remember, I remember one particular storyline of a group of siblings whose parents had abandoned them, one had apenditicis so was admitted, her siblings came with her (some how) and they kept faking being sick to be able to stay on the ward instead of go home

Children's Ward was ITV but I definitely remember it.
