I've just watched it again for the first time in about 3 years. I'm really enjoying it! But I have to wonder how many of them are nothing like what they're portraying to the cameras and their date 🤔
Does anyone know somebody who's appeared on the show? Or has encountered anyone who's been on there?

I know someone who appeared on the NZ version!

She didn't expect to meet her match on the show but was pleasantly surprised and felt a real connection. By all accounts he did too, and they said in their interview at the end that they did intend to see each other again. However, when the cameras stopped rolling he 'fessed up that he only went on the show as a favour to the casting agent as they didn't have enough guys, and he already had a girlfriend! She said a lot of women tried to hit on the show's maitre d' (pictured below - very charming on the TV; his photo doesn't show that):

I enjoy the show and find it light hearted and not too taxing to watch. Even the teen version is good. In the latest episode Genevieve and Maisie looked really suited. I was racking my brain for ages trying to work out who from Neighbours past Maisie looks like and then it came to me Kaiya Jones.
 
Someone I know went on. Seemed nice as pie and definitely pretended to really like the girl.
But knowing what I know about him he’s a bit of a nutter, definitely not someone you’d want to date. And they paired him with what I’d consider an average sized girl- perhaps a size 14. And he wouldn’t look twice at someone like that. Ever. He’s very shallow and I could sense through the tv his dislike for her physically. Sad really.
 
Is the hotel series is it new? It says new and I don't remember seeing it before but Laura is on and she left ages ago so I doubt she's come back. Maybe it was filmed in like 2020.
