I didn’t understand why Marcus said it was a stupid mistake today when surely he had practised before so knew about the wrapping it in ham would mean it didn’t cook

I’m glad the judges didn’t overlook it though based on previous performance. You shouldn’t be able to get away with it at this stage
 
Forgive me. Did Dani Dyer leave the competition? And was she replaced by Misha. Husband seems to think that misha was booted off earlier and Dani got through to the quarter finals?

I was wondering where dani went as couldnt remember her being voted off. I thought Misha came in on the round after didnt she? I cant remember now!
 
First challenge was cooking for a load of scouts outdoors on open fires and wood fired ovens. All of them did OK in the end though looked like they wouldn't be finished - usual stuff 😂 Gregg all over Amy as normal.
Then back in the studio they had to cook something that was inspired by someone.
Wynne - did a 'Cardiff fish and chips' inspired by a friend. Sort of curry fish and chips. Judges liked it.
Luca - tomato fish stew for his dad. Judges liked it.
Max - US fried chicken and bacon on waffles for a friend. Judges favourite.
Amy - chocolate and mint ice cream dessert for her grandad. Got her timings wrong and it wasn't set though tasted OK.
Jamelia - Princess 'picky meal' for her daughters. Lots of small bits and bobs including coconut ice, salmon tart, beetroot dyed boiled egg. But she didn't have time to complete some other things.
Was between Jamelia and Amy - Jamelia left.

Thank you for that excellent recap! Saves me from watching catchup ( very grateful!) I Like the sound of the waffles! More fish from luca🙄 - Sounds like the right person went though.

The scouts task is crackers! Am just watching. My husband is a scout leader and all three of my boys have worked their way through the levels including the eldest just finishing explorers and it's been soup/chill/beans all the way! I also can't imagine any of my of my kids critiquing the food in this way! Maybe that's just me!
