Celebrity MasterChef

When John and Gregg were complaining about Bez's presentation, I was dying for him to say "it's alright, it all goes to mek a turd" in his fab Manc accent (a la Jim Royle).

The only thing I can't stand about Masterchef (celebs or otherwise) is Gregg and his double entendres - last year it was slippery fish - all lovely and pink and slippery inside. God almightly, he is foul.
I can never work out if the double entendres are by accident or design but it seems to be just greg and not john.
On one of the professional Masterchef shows he said to one of the contestants who made fish balls 'your balls could do with being a bit bigger and I'd love to have seen them covered in a rich creamy sauce' 🤔

He wants another 'buttery biscuit base' or one of those 'Nigella talks dirty' viral vids - he's constantly delivering tag lines

Penny has so been having lessons from their chef. You just would, wouldn’t you if you had one on hand, like she does.

I used to like Penny, she seems a pleasant person, and full kudos to her doing police officer training when she could be a lady of leisure rather than going on the night shift. However, her appearances on Loose Women recently have really turned me off her. Her police training seems to have boosted her confidence (no bad thing), but she has become so patronising and smug with it.

I am enjoying the series so far. Love Bez, Su grew on me, Mel can be funny, and Megan seems accomplished and nice with it. I think Penny and Megan will go through on Friday. (Surprised Patrick was so lacklustre and un confident - and he was so scruffy in his toddler outfit - many miles removed from the suave, well dressed gent on Sewing Bee.)

This episode felt so staged to me, or maybe because I didn't care less who went through to the next round.

Mel was definitely the weakest link at the start of tonight (as she said herself) but only because Penny knows more than she lets on and Megan surely has had professional help.

I liked Megan's main course the most, followed by Penny's - even though she was late.

WOW! I really thought Penny would have gone through rather than Mel.

Roll on next week - Katie Price and Joe Swash! I'm sure it will be a more exciting one than this week.

I love masterchef!
Definitely expected Mel to go home today. Cannot bear to watch Joe Swash and Katie Price on next week. I’m glad I’m working late shifts so I can watch on catch up and fast forward 🤣
I also can't stand either of them so hoping for some car crash TV moments. That said, they will most probably surprise us, especially if they have had professional help beforehand.

I like the mass catering challenge - feeding 50, no recipes & in a team is so different to anything else they do. You’d often see them come unstuck or see who really pitched in, I liked that.
Agree on the restaurant round though, as someone said, it depended a lot on what dish they had so not comparable and was always a bit longwinded.
Wish they did the one with making something from the scraps, that was always good on the professionals. Do they still do the relay one where they take over without communicating?
Hope to see Andy P, Rylan and Sophie Thompson as critics - Les Dennis and Ade were brill too.
Early call I’m going for Bez and Mel so far.

Was it just me, or did Andi Peters come across as throughly dislikable when he was judging in last nights episode?
”Just sayin’…”

I wonder if the BBC will show next week's final group of celebrities, out of sequence instead of this week's including Katie Price. Most probably a silly question, but it just crossed my mind.

Joe swash is so dirty looking, I wouldn’t eat anything he cooked. Thinks he’s so funny and what’s with all the winking into the camera??
It’s like when comedians think they have to be funny constantly or singers who always break into song - so boring - he can’t drop the cheeky chappie thing and did he want to mention Stacy any more?!
Though I did find his comment about matey doing raw meat saving the rest of them pretty honest & funny. You do get people going through not because they cooked the best but because they messed up the least!
