Bridgerton

I agree, not interested in the other couples plus their books were also rubbish! Also, will all the actors still commit to the series for that long or will they leave like Rege-Jean?

Well, Simone Ashley has already confirmed that she’ll be back for season 3, so that at least gives me hope for more Kanthony scenes. If everyone else could get extensive storylines during Anthony’s season, I hope they will get a lot of screentime in someone else’s season as well :D
I guess after the debacle with Rege-Jean Page, they made sure to secure the main actors for several seasons.

The actress who plays Eloise is already in her 30’s. She’ll be about 40 by the time they get around to her story when she’s supposed to be early 20’s!

I honestly don’t understand why they cast people who are blatantly too old for the role. She clearly doesn’t look the age she is supposed to be, and there must be hundreds of amazing aspiring (or even already established) actresses of the right age who would do the role justice.
I also don’t really like the actress who plays Eloise, she overacts everything and the character seems entirely unlikeable in her superiority.

Also, I feel like the programme may go downhill from here. I feel like the characters left aren't strong enough to pull off a full series about themselves.

I actually have some hope. I feel like Anthony should be ever-present as the head of house & stay in the Bridgerton house, guide his siblings, etc. (If they have managed to sign him down). I know the books are quite 'samey' in the storyline, and I feel like the TV show is starting to make some changes, so it doesn't feel as repetitive. That being said I don't know how they are going to make Colin's engaging lol.

I think the music & costume at least, will always draw me in.

I've just binged....I wanted to wait til I had plenty time to fully indulge 😁

I loved it, I know it's fluff and nonsense but it totally captivated me. I didn't expect to like Bridgerton when I watched the first series but it really drew me in and the second series has been the same....albeit with the delicious Anthony 🤤 The slow burn was lovely to watch.

I agree with the comments on Pen and Colin but I really liked Eloise in it.

Interesting take. Claudia Jessie looks very baby faced to me. She looks younger than her biographical age like low 20s but not necessarily teenaged...I wonder if casting is limited by the fact that the Bridgertons are such a huge family so they needed an actress to look young but not younger than the youngest Bridgertons and they would've obviously want to hire some old enough to avoid the minors/childrens on sets working rules.

I was shocked to find she was in her 30s!
I would've put her as low 20s too

I've literally just finished watching too. I agree with all your post apart from Eloise who I found really irritating. I didn't miss the Duke at all.

I also must give a shout out to Lady Featherington. I adore her. Played brilliantly by Polly Walker.

As for the next story, the only one I want to see is Benedict.

I feel like the only one who wasn't fussed about duke of Hastings. Yeah he was good looking but that and his eye brow acting was all he was bring to the table. I think Jonathan Bailey as Anthony is far better actor (and better looking from my pov)

I don't get it at all with the Duke. Glad I'm not the only one, it felt like it 😂
I much prefer Jonathan Bailey 😂

Polly Walker is amazing ( ive stan'd her since HBO'S Rome ) her acting blows the rest of the cast out of the water

Same. Regé-Jean Page is super handsome, but you nailed it with "eyebrow acting" haha. I though the Duke and Daphne were both quite vanilla, especially compared to more interesting characters such as Benedict, Eloise, or the Featheringtons. I didn't read the books, so this is just going off the tv show. Jonathan Bailey killed it in season 2. The chemistry he had with Simone Ashley was electric. Hell, I even started being OK with the possibility of Anthony ending up with Edwina. His performance was very compelling and enjoyable to watch.
