Book Club #3 Reading is life

Forgot to come back when I finished it! I really enjoyed it! Gave it a 4.5/5.

I didnt guess the killer, I thought it was going to be the son for a huge chunk. I loved the humour alongside the darker elements but I didn’t find it rather unbelieve, but then again, I think that’s what made it fun and easy to read.

Overall, a great pick!

I guessed the killer but tbh the book is a bit silly. However I found it funny and relatable at some points. Will read the second one next Xmas

I think I liked how unserious it was. I needed a palate cleanse and it delivered, for me. I have read some murder mysteries that were a bit too complicated for my distracted brain. But this was great to read and quickly.

I finished this last night and thought it was a great, lighthearted Christmassy book. I gave it 4/5.

There were quite a few parts that made me laugh and were quite subtle. I’d originally mentioned the “body go cold uk” bit above but another stand out for me was the family playing Cluedo where the youngest is showing her cards to everyone and the rest are cheating

I think I enjoyed parts like that more than the actual main storyline. I didn’t guess who the killer was though and enjoyed the red herrings along the way.

I just finished it, really enjoyed it. Also 4/5 from me and I’ll probably read the next one next year.

I did guess the killer and the connection but it was quite far through.

I also just finished Happy Bloody Christmas and I really enjoyed it! I guessed the killer fairly early on but that didn't diminish the enjoyment. It made me laugh several times and I really needed that. 4/5 for me
