Bit of a bonkers ending and it unravelled early to be honest, but we watched it through and will watch a 2nd series. I like James Nesbit anyway.
 
I thought the last episode was rushed.

I wondered whether it was just going to be one series but due to how successful it was, they popped an alternative ending in to extend the story to another series....

Can totally see his Wife coming back looking for revenge and to get their daughter.
 
I’ve been more invested in the relationship between birdy and Izzy than the actual main plot 😂 I don’t know if it was deliberate but i felt absolutely zero chemistry between Tom and Olivia when she unbuttoned her shirt it just made me cringe. Enjoying it though.
 
The latest episode really upped the ante I feel! Had been looking forward to it since the ending of episode 4, no idea how Toms going to wiggle his way out of this one, but can’t wait for Olivia to get kicked into toe! I dislike her!

Olivia's a right piece of work, but Tom has her DNA/hair fibres etc.
 
You just knew the American guy survived. Poor Birdy. I suppose the series rests on is Tom cleverer than Olivia? Although it may have been an idea to tell her would be assassin to stab the gangster rather than strangle him with a belt.
 
I was rooting for Tom too! 3rd series incoming unless there's a silly decision to axe it, but agree it should maybe have finished tonight. I'm no scriptwriter but hard to see another 6 episodes where he evades capture, sorts out things with Izzy and his remaining colleagues without either a life sentence or lonely freedom/exile.

I completely agree. They often try to milk these things long after the shelf life has expired. You should always leave the audience wanting more. There are some loose ends still (Tom’s wife, what does Izzy do next etc) but he can’t keep evading capture and it ended perfectly last night. Also there are also only so many close ups of Nesbitt pulling that “acting” face in moments of stress that a person can take!

Yes, there were times I was going to turn this 2nd series off, until the Yank arrived and Olivia ramped things up.
Nesbitt has quite the head of hair these days too 😁
