Hi all,

I wondered if anyone would be up for a Black Friday thread? It seems like the days of the Boxing Day sales are dwindling in favour of this American tradition. Lots of retailers are already doing Black Friday deals, I don’t know if this means there will be bigger discounts closer to the day or what?

Rambling aside, what are you hoping to pick up for presents or yourself on Black Friday and what deals are you aware of?

I’m after some sturdy slippers for my Mum, (not UGG they get destroyed after a few wears, no longer good quality).

Discounts I’ve seen so far:
Sweaty Betty - 30% off winter essentials
The white company - 20% off
Monsoon - Up to 30% off
Hobbs - 20% off coats and boots

I don't know if the same happens in the US with it just becoming a whole month of sales, possibly it's happened here because we've adopted Black Friday without the Thanksgiving preamble.

I bought my mother slippers with secret support from M&S. They were £12.50 I think.

I got a pair of Bose headphones. They were £319 and I got them for £198.

Looking for a SIM free phone. Can't decide what though!

I got a Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro for £220 and am pretty pleased with it, having previously only had flagship apple or Samsung phones. Check reviews obviously but you can crazy spec mid range phones for under £300.
