Biggest miscasts in films

I really didn't like Keira Knightley and Matthew McFadden as Elizabeth and Darcy in Pride and Prejudice.
Or Gywneth Paltrow as Emma.

@Patsy63 Snap!!!
Even worse in Emma was Toni Colette as Harriet and Ewan McGregor as Frank Churchill. 😧

And while Sense and Sensibility is the only Jane Austen adaptation I can bear to watch again, Hugh Grant and Alan Rickman were both far too good looking for their characters - but I can put up with that. ;)

I agree about Emma Watson in Beauty and the Beast. She can't sing! It's really cringe. I think they should have cast an unknown singer/actress in that role. Casting Ewan as Lumiere was a bad move too.

I do hate how the older cast in HP are just too old. Sirius/Remus/Snape were all meant to be 31 - 37 during the course of the films and they cast a bunch of 50 year olds (As much as we love Alan Rickman). It just totally pisses on the fact that Lily and James died at only 21 years old. I can't pull at the HP thread too much though or I'll be here all day.

Don't even get me started on Johnny Depp as Grindelwald 🙄

God, she was such a cold, wet fish in that film. You really had to suspend belief that anyone could fall in love with someone like that. I really like Natalie Portman as a person but she is terrible in everything she stars in.

Ohhh I really liked her in ‘Black Swan,’ thought she nailed the vulnerable side of her character really well.
I think she was mis-cast on the Star Wars films though.

Don’t want this to turn into an Emma Watson bashing thread.. but... I hated her as Meg in Little Women 😩

☹️ Ohh I’m yet to watch this.

I’m a HUUUGE fan of the original with Winona Ryder, so I was looking forward to this.

anne hathaway in One Day, for anyone who has read the book it makes 0 sense, she was supposed to be kind of "curvy", average looking, not a tall thin almost model looking woman
The Hollywood remake of Get Carter was unbelievably dreadful, with Arnold Schwarzenegger replacing Michael Caine as Carter.

I really prefered the original, don;t get why they bothered with a remake tbh

I know a lot of people loved them but don’t like Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham Carter as queen Eizabeth and princess Margaret in the crown. Hard to watch them straight after watching Claire Foy and Vanessa Kirby who I think suited the rules much better. Plus their eye colour changed from blue to brown which really annoyed me 😂

I like them both as actresses, just not in The Crown.
