Unfortunately Big Brother has always attracted the wannabe types who are desperate for fame and to get their face on the telly. They might still be working in normal jobs, but they‘ll have been on other reality shows and dating shows and game shows. For example on the recent series ‘My Mum, Your Dad’ one of them have previously been on First Dates and and another on Britains Got Talent. The casting people for shows like this will put out adverts aimed at everyone, but these desperate types are more likely to see the adverts and then put themselves forward.

oh thats some sneaky tit-filming in advance!!!
Hooray for it being what we want!!
They did say a few weeks ago that entrance night would be filmed the day before and played out on kaunch night. It's so they can show more of the first night on launch night

Potentially. However I read an article somewhere that one of the reasons launch date kept getting pushed back was they were adamant that no influencer wannabees were making the cut, and it was time consuming going through everything to whittle them out

I don’t understand why people get mad that tiktokers etc get cast everybody who posts on TikTok is a TikToker so I don’t understand how they aren’t normal people ? There is a butcher and someone who works in the nhs people want people from all walks of life that includes influencers etc

I was there and you wouldn’t have even known the TikToker was off TikTok. He was one of the more interesting housemates. The Come Dine With Me woman will be divisive, I think. But it’s also incredibly hard to say anything about them based off a two minute interview because they didn’t show VTs.

I am dying to ask you your experience but we’re just hours away from the launch show and I’ve been good with not clicking any of the spoiler tags or reading or watching anything (apart from the video of the actual house) so I’ll just remain strong til 9pm lol

Part of what made it so interesting and addictive in the beginning is that it chucked people together from all walks of life, who’d never have met under normal circumstances and let the storylines develop organically. Big Brother didn’t interfere very much at all and it was all the better for it. I want to be positive for the reboot, the format is timeless and it was due a revival how theres a lot of early 00’s nostalgia, but Channel Five ran it into the ground, ignored what fans wanted and it’s left me and a lot of other diehards wary. The new house looks amazing (Channel Five barely bothered updating it in the end) which is a good start, but I’m concerned about this smoking room which we won’t see. Sorry, but people smoke, that’s life. I was a teen and early twenty something when Bb started and I didn’t feel the need to take up smoking just because I saw someone on Big Brother puffing away. You’d even get the non smokers sitting with the smokers sometimes. We will miss so much by not seeing it and it’s therefore not a true representation of what‘s going on because vital conversations will remain unseen.

Anyway I am going to give it a chance because I’m interested to see what ITV will do with it, but I’m not getting my hopes up to high.

Is it Jane? Please tell me it’s Jane? She deserves fame and fortune 🤣🤣

That does make sense actually

I'm so sick of seeing the "sad life Jane" thing everywhere, I'm hoping the CDWM contestant isn't Jane !

This isn't true though - it hasn't always attracted these types..?

If you look back through some of the classic years, there were so many contestants that were absolutely there for the experience and not 'fame hungry wannabees,' and they certainly weren't on any other TV shows.
