Something I find weird (all over social media, it's not too bad on here) is that people were crying out for normal contestants, but then are accusing the most normal, balanced ones of being boring
I think it's more that they're simply not shown. Paul has had probably a minute of screen time if we're being kind. Dylan is hardly ever shown, I have hardly even seen him on the livestreams

Paul is now in a weird position where people who watch the livestreams have seen him say some problematic things but it's not been shown on the show at all. I think they ultimately have to show it because I think it will influence the next nominations but I fear they won't because they feel like they have some sort of "duty" to keep up these people's images

They've made a massive mistake here. They can't pat themselves on the back for having a diverse cast and making them have sensitivity training or whatever, then try to brush it under the carpet if someone fucks up. Putting it very bluntly, we can't avoid holding people accountable because they might kill themselves - and I hope people understand what I mean by this, it isn't me making light of previous situations at all.

They won’t show anyone saying anything controversial ever again. There was a guy in the last Channel 5 series called Lewis who was the favourite to win by far and had pretty much carried the entire series. About a week or before the final he was pulled from the house because of remarks he’d allegedly made, he was denied an exit interview and his disappearance was barely even mentioned on the highlights show. They didn’t even show him leaving or being removed. He didn’t appear at the final and was effectively airbrushed out like he’d never even been there. It was one of strangest things in the shows long history, because he’d been the main character in the series, carried it and his removal killed it stone dead. It had been up until then one of C5’s best series civilian series. We never found out what he was supposed to have said because it was edited out and there was no live feed anyway, it was rumoured he’d made anti semitic remarks but it was never confirmed. Despite this he remained on good terms with many of his housemates and met up with them after the show, so clearly they’d been unfazed and unoffended by whatever he’d said.

I'm sure The Circle got cancelled because it was becoming too problematic. That show had the makings of a classic.

I didn't like Lewis at all, and found him unpleasant to watch. He was snappy and moody, I was relieved when he left.
There was a blonde girl who fancied him, I hope for her sake she never got involved with him.

That series had (IMO) one of the worst BB winners (apart from the horror that was Helen). Miserable guy whose 'schtick' was coming out as gay on BB (nobody knew, apparently), when he'd already posted about his sexuality on his social media. He spent most of the time moping around looking miserable.

This is why Lewis went, apparently:

I fell out with my friend over him lol. We always used to chat about big brother on WhatsApp and usually agreed about the housemates, but she totally fell for him and his new man, meditating, yoga, self improvement act. She was really into Russell Brand at the time, who was doing the same sort of thing touring and selling books.
Lewis was the most draining housemate I’ve ever watched. It was exhausting and I was so relieved when he went.

All I'm seeing atm is people excusing Kerry's weight for her having MS. No I'm sorry but she's morbidly obese because of her discusting diet and how she hardly moves. She uses the mobility scooter to walk to places when she doesn't need to as she's already been seen walking without her crutch. She's lazy and bine idle in my opinion and uses her MS as a scapegoat to excuse her weight and laziitis.

There are plenty of people that have MS and other mobility and balance problems that really look after themselves and are not morbidly obese.

Having mobility and coordination difficulties myself from my own conditions, I still muck in at home and clean up, it's hard don't get me wrong but I suck it up and get it done. I have to use aids of course to help me but I'm far from lazy. If I was sharing a house with her not pulling her weight, using her condition to get out of doing chores, I'd have to complain. I'm sick of people like her excusing their weight problems and getting out of doing stuff for having conditions and then others being too scared to speak up about it incase they offend her ffs.

If Kerry reads this anytime, woman, it will not harm you hun to change your diet to cut out the fatty food and start doing some light excercises, it may even lessen the MS symptoms also.

I can imagine she's a nightmare to live with, she is already coming off bad in the house.

No it was channel 5. Channel 4 had BBBM
I'm saying Russell Brand hosted BBBM. Not BBBOS

Guarantee if she didn't have MS she'd have fibromyalgia.

I said that to my partner 🤣🤣🤣 she's probably already saying she has it already, she seems the type. Fibromyalgia believe it or not, is very easily feigned and now a gp can diagnose it and no need for specialist input. Which is why I believe it's on the rise and pip claims at all time high.

I suffer with chronic pain but I believe it's down to my weight and hypermobility. I do physio and light excercises to try and lesson it and I'm dieting, eating more fruit and veg, drinking more water and the pain is decreasing.

It's a shame because people like yourself who genuinely live with chronic pain are then overlooked and undermined by the professional victims.

That’s just it isn’t it? I have EDS and at the moment it’s worse because I’m carrying extra weight after having a baby. But I’m trying hard to drop some weight asap because I know it will help massively with the pain and fatigue

Oh wow, I didn’t realise The Circle had actually been axed. This is the problem with TV execs and reality tv today, you can’t capture the hey day of BB in its infancy and peak. The likes of ITV are too risk averse so we’ll end up with a watered down and highly edited show.
The Paul issue is interesting - several housemates have eluded to his views and stances on things but we barely see him in the edit, never mind hear these problematic views. I forgot he was in there until his name came up during nominations.

I might be reaching a bit with the reason why The Circle was cancelled. I just remember the last series had a few notable moments - Manrika clashing with that Gladiator guy for example. She was also pretty nasty herself but she also received death threats.

I don't know the official reason for it's cancellation but I'm willing to bet that it was becoming too awkward and difficult to keep a cap on. Not to mention the mental toll it must take on some of the contestants if they've been cat-fished (Kate & Dan!). It was a great show though, I really loved it.
