So just caught up on last night and everything I've thought about kerry during this you've all covered.

I do think it's hilarious that the "VIP" campers didn't click on that the reason Trish, and the others didn't want the VIP ticket wasn't because they were being selfless it's because being "outside" was preferable to their company...

Hallie’s place in the house is just as much of a tickbox exercise as Farida’s was. She is 18, zero life experience she can’t even regulate her own mood swings and comes out with internet sound bites which make her seem as deep as a puddle. Her friendship with Kerry only adds to my dislike.

but can you get off the fence and tell us how you really feel?

Given how popular big brother became, and with the coverage of this “revival” series, I think it’s probably impossible to get someone on who doesn’t want the followers, attention and money. Applicants are tempted by an easy route to temporary low level fame, and producers want “characters” who’ll act up and increase views. IMO even if someone normal did apply for the social experiment aspect, they’d be filtered out very early on because they probably wouldn’t be deemed as having the potential to create something like fight night/kinga’s wine bottle/makosi becoming pregnant after 8 hours

I understand that Hallie is very young, but I'd be more inclined to have empathy for her if misery wasn't her constant state of being. With Nikki you had bursts of sheer joy to contrast against the outbursts - she felt everything to the nth degree, not just the negative emotions.

Interestingly, it would be worth thinking also if a part of that is because 2006 was easier than 2023. I’ve said so many times I would HATE to be a teenager in these times

I can't think of anything worse than having to navigate my teenage years in the social media age - Bebo and the beginnings of Facebook were bad enough! Having said that, I know plenty of young people who are fun and bright and not quite so inclined to focus on the negative all of the time. I also think she's partially doing it because she thinks it's funny and memeable, so I struggle to take her seriously when she's acting like she did last night.

Hallie is 18, old enough to vote, old enough to be on hormone treatments and try and get money together for her surgery and old enough to consent to being on tv on a world famous reality show.

All teens have it tough, all teens think they have it tougher than the generations before them. But one would hope as they near the end of their teens they wouldn’t still be behaving like petulent 13 year olds.
