I had very low expectations and I thought it would be a pile of tit but I was pleasantly surprised and actually really enjoyed it! I couldn’t give a toss whether anyone used to be male, female, who is gay who is straight, what religion they are and what political party they support, I will judge them on their behaviour in the house and how they come across as a person. At the moment the only one I don’t like is Olivia, she is everything I despise, a pampered princess diva and a complete spoilt little brat and her behaviour and how she reacted last night will have done her no favours however I’m happy for her to redeem herself and change my opinion. Can’t wait for tonight!
I agree with everything in your post here. I hated all the "box ticking" comments last night. The one thing I have always loved about Big Brother the group of people they choose to go into the house. I was really worried they'd go down the route of Love Island and others and just put tons of the same people in, so I was really happy with that. Who cares about any of that rubbish - I will watch the show and decide if I like someone based on their behaviour while in the house!
I didn't like Olivia last night, for the same reasons, but I also didn't like Jenkin either. I felt he come across really bratty and attention seeking. Like he picked the most obvious place to hide, and then whined when he was found first and lost.

They’d then complain we meed more diversity 🙄
They'd probably say they want more older housemates and that's all

I know the complaints are already there, including not having someone who's perhaps just an average working class Joe but I don't think these types of people would be drawn to reality TV shows. Someone mentioned that it's always interesting that these people are able to get several weeks off work to begin with, and I think it's sort of telling that a few of them have online presence or have been on TV previously. I don't mean that they're fame hungry but it's clearly something they'd be interested in to begin with, there's not much pushing that the producers would have to do to make it look like a good opportunity for them

This just appeared on my twitter feed. Not sure how accurate it is.

My thoughts so far…

- Yinrun seems nice. She has a being in the final 3, but not winning vibe.
- Jenkin I can’t work out, he initially seemed like someone who could give a joke, but may not be able to take one, but will have to see.
- Olivia took the whole being up for eviction thing like a child (which she essentially is) soo…
- The Tory has Ryan Mark (apprentice) vibes.
- Jordan seemed like a very strange character
- The doctor guy won’t last long. He’s all about bare feet and meditating. He’ll walk.
- I liked Trish.
- Hallie had to be the first one to introduce herself to everyone as they entered. I thought that was interesting. Do you remember the early days of big brother when every Sunday they’d have the psychologists talking about housemates behaviours? I wish they’d do that again. There was a lot to be unravelled last night.

Bring back Dame Judi James....?

I really enjoyed last nights show. I know some people thought it was rushed but I hated how they used to drag it out it would get on my nerves. Only downside for me is that it was pre recorded but then it would have dragged out so can’t have it all lol.

Husband and I both said Dylan will win, he just seems the most normal! Love Paul 😍 who doesn’t love a scally 😆

Jenkin is my favourite i know he’s not for everyone but he’s definitely my cup of tea! I also like Chanelle.

Trish is going to be putting people in their place for sure!! Starting with that annoying brat Olivia.

Yinrun is the sweetest bless her!!!

They'd probably say they want more older housemates and that's all
This would be my only real criticism of the cast this year. The youngest is 18 whilst the oldest is 50. However, there are 11 housemates in their 20's!!

Here they are from oldest to youngest:
  • Hallie, 18 - youth worker from London
  • Tom, 21 - butcher from Somerset
  • Paul, 23 - security officer from Liverpool
  • Olivia, 23 - dancer from Glasgow
  • Matty, 24 - doctor from the Isle of Man
  • Henry 25 - food writer from the Cotswolds
  • Jenkin, 25 - barman from Bridgend
  • Yinrun, 25 - customer support agent from Harrogate
  • Jordan. 25 - lawyer from Scunthorpe
  • Noky, 26 - banker from Derby
  • Zak, 28 - model from Manchester
  • Chanelle, 29 - dental therapist from Llanelli
  • Trish, 33 - full-time mum from Luton
  • Dylan, 39 - DJ from Coventry
  • Kerry, 40 - NHS manager from Essex
  • Farida, 50, - make-up artist from Wolverhampton.

Really don’t like Olivia,’probably the only one so far I’m not fussed on. She’s gorgeous but is really obnoxious. I hope she goes on Friday but feel like people will keep her in as she seems to type to stir drama.
