Well I've listened to the podcast she's done with Ashley James🥱
Can I just say I deserve a medal cos she has the most monotonous droll of a voice and awful fake posh accent....
started off with her going on about all the travels she'd been on with Z ( you had 2 free all inclusive holidays to the Med and a free holiday to Scotland...not exactly trekking through the jungles of Borneo!🙄)
strangely Ashley didn't mention her debacle with Ryanair regarding her incident with face mask while travelling to France 🤔 that's a whole other story about Ashley's entitlement!
basically Ziggy born at 36+5 days due to reduced fetal movements, sounds like she was admitted from clinic and induced and eventually had forceps delivery due to failure to progress ...so only just preterm ....defintely not preemie in true sense of word!
hypnobirthing not as great as advertised Ashley also concurred came across as extremely naïve regarding childbirth fairy lights do not help with birthing! ....both think they should have had CSections - never mind the inherent risks associated with MAJOR abdominal surgery! cos they're both now healthcare professionals
Reading between the lines, sounds like Z had infection/ meconium aspiration postnatally hence spell in NICU - total of 11 days in hospital
she was however positive about the staff in NICU
Beth resentful cos she didn't get her 'golden hour' post delivery to monetise those postnatal photo opportunities
She accessed EMDR for her PTSD when Z was 10 months old and only had to wait 10 weeks for referral and then only needed 2 months of treatment and she's now discharged herself from this!
thinks that's the jist of the podcast! Lost the Will to live, send chocolate!

talked about travel with Z - Scotland, Cyprus and Portugal.
Thinks you can still travel as you did before baby. Makes out that putting Z in the crèche on holiday was for his benefit. Whinged about how his sleep was rubbish when they were on holiday. No tit! Apparently her mental health really suffered on those free holidays because of it, poor Beggy 🎻 she had to contact their sleep consultant.

Talked about travel before Z “we spent x amount of time in Aus in 2018-2019”. No longer keeping shtum about her boyfriend being with her then…

She says she’s always just tried to fit him into their lives instead of changing to fit around Z.

Her tips for travel with baby:
Snacks
Favourite toys
Busy board wallet
YouTube
Managing expectations
Not caring about what other people think
Pack as lightly as possible

On pregnancy after loss and baby loss (stuff in inverted commas are direct quotes):

Found it cathartic to share, wasn’t altruistic of her
she found the first trimester “horrendous” and “fell down a really dark hole of google, mumsnet and lots of other forums”.
Her advice to anyone who is pregnant after loss “take it day by day” recommended a book called “pregnancy after loss” by Zoe Adell?
It helped her to share privately with everyone - went off on one about the 12 week thing.
With Z, shared immediately with friends and inlaws
She was “crippled with fear and anxiety on a trip away during the first trimester”
Regular scans early scan on NHS at between 6-7 weeks due to their history.
Then carried on having private scans every 2 weeks up til the 13 week NHS one.
Found the scans really helpful but then the relief only lasted a short period of time before the worry and anxiety flared up again.
Despite having an anxious build up and high risk pregnancy, she loved being pregnant.

Talked about the different types of miscarriage. Shared how her first pregnancy was a missed miscarriage. Second experience was much earlier and managed at home.
First pregnancy wasn’t planned.

Birth trauma:
Hypnobirthing - a lot of the resentment around her birth came from thinking she’d done everything right. In a nutshell: her pregnancy was high risk, lots of reduced movement and an antenatal stay. It was a chain of regular scans and checks. She had a scan at 36 weeks and they sent her to hospital. Apparently he was born at 36 + 5 (so she’s hanging everything on “well technically”) he was premature 🧐, was the size of babies born at 33-34 weeks and critically ill - so nothing she hasn’t previously harped on about. She feels like she doesn’t sit in either camp of “premature or not”

She had the choice of c section or induction and “they” (who is they?) very keenly said that “vaginal is best”. It was “horrendous”.
Says induction has its place but is quite overused and the implications of what you’re forcing your body to do aren’t spelt out enough.
Talked about the Ockendon report. She feels pushed down a certain path quite quickly in the process. Was in hospital for 2-3 nights before he was born. Felt something wasn’t right and was going to go wrong. She voiced her feelings but feels that she was brushed off as an anxious first time mother. Felt completely robbed as she’d done all the hypnobirthing. Says things spiralled very quickly, she was in a lot of pain and went from “I can breathe through this” to “where’s the epidural?”. It failed and they put a spinal block in whilst she had a second one.
An “entire football team flooded into the room”

Cites research by the birth trauma association that shows how most trauma comes from how you’re treated and spoken to by professionals Says she was told “you’re not trying hard enough” and there were lots of other things said that were damaging.

Ended in a lot of intervention and became apparent that he was unwell. Large chunks that she doesn’t remember and feels quite guilty about i.e doesn’t remember what he looked like when he was born even though there are pictures, doesn’t remember the moment he came out, doesn’t remember the cord being cut, didn’t get the “lovely golden hour”.

She feels resentful when she sees the lovely “glowing” photo of someone in the hospital bed cradling their baby or seconds after birth with the baby on their chest. “I didn’t get that, that was taken from me”
Admits that Z was in hospital for 11 days (so not weeks and weeks like she likes to make out) and that, by NICU standards, that’s short. Quickly moves away from that subject to her PTSD which stems from when she was in a transitional ward and he was in the NICU - Dr said that they were going to fit a cannula and bring him back to the ward. Dr returned without the baby and she thought he was dead. Says it took her until very recently to understand that in that moment he wasn’t dead.

It set the tone of their NICU journey. Says it was tortuous and touch and go, especially the first few days as Z was intubated, sedated etc. Calls NICU heaven in hell.

Says Z is fantastic, a brilliant little boy. That by looking at him you’d never know that he went through what he went through. Found his first birthday quite poignant as it was the anniversary of the birth.

Realised there was an issue when Z was 7 months old which coincided with sleep training (not calling it sleep teaching anymore then?) and got him into a routine. In lifting “the fog of sleep deprivation” 🙄 she was able to see that a lot of thing she’d attributed to that or the 4th trimester weren’t due to those reasons, there was something more.
Started reading on birth trauma, went to her GP who suggested it might be PTSD. Took a few months to access therapy. EMDR therapy was fantastic - past tense. 8-10 weeks of therapy before she discharged herself a couple of weeks ago as she felt like she’d got what she needed from it.

50 mins of my life I’ll never get back. Nothing we didn’t already know tbh. 0/10. 😒 we should have made bingo cards.

We’re two threads later since the birth of Ziggy and Beth is still pushing he’s an NICU preemie baby despite being born at full term, and of course, still mentioning breast feeding

- Dragged Ziggy all the way up to Scotland from London when he was only a couple months old.


Slated a small business for being expensive despite the fact she chose to eat there and we have been in a pandemic where small businesses have suffered the most over the last 2-3 years

- Posted later on that it wasn't even the right cafe, she got it mixed up.


- Posted an AD which showed her disgusting filthy grout because she doesn't have the time to properly clean her filthy home or trim her childs nails because posting stories comes first



- Spoke about plans to go abroad with Ziggy when he's 5 months old for 2 weeks back in March. "Somewhere I can lie by the pool vibe."

- Complained about tit maternity pay and being the bread winner despite making a choice to be an Instagram "Influener" as her job and not getting a real job or properly saving up for parenthood. Also confirming that her Instagram hobby earns more than her PT and her former teacher husband.

- Throwing in she's married to her former sixth form / high-school teacher for good measure.


- Said back in March 2021 that she'd noticed more "crappy messages" probably due to her tone-deafness and habit of not following COVID guidelines.
- Barely mentions her book club anymore, has left it all to her mate to run.

- Socialblade stats showed she potentially buys followers

- Showed herself in a nappy because #relatable even though nobody asked for it.

- Ziggy has appeared in so many ads since his birth (when was it, Late march/early April?) that he may as well be put on a pay roll.

- Went on two abroad AD holidays during the Summer in the space of a fortnight, taking Ziggy with her despite his “preemie” status.

- Beth dumped him in the kids club for a few hours despite the fact he’s so young, supposed to be a preemie and in a foreign country. Whilst he was dumped in the club, all she did was lounge by the pool reading.


- When she came home she admitted to having a mice infestation in her house which she also rents as an airbnb when they go away.

- claimed the infestation was because her house is too clean, which we all know is BS. We’ve seen your grout, Beth.

- Complained about someone kindly sending her a bib for Ziggy because it is pink with a unicorn, and he is a boy. This is after saying she wasn’t going to subscribe to gender norms and has since dressed Ziggy in boring beige. Obviously, this contradicts what she’s been preaching.


- Tried to sleep train Ziggy and paid a specialist, but then took him abroad twice in a fortnight. Still bitching about him not sleeping.

- Because she was promoting family holidays she started sharing her teacher husbands face in photos, but as soon as the ads were over she began covering him up again.

- Lies about not knowing how to use a more subtle breast pump because it doesn’t get her any attention.

- She uses fertility awareness hashtags despite the fact she did not suffer with infertility, she fails to note that being a miscarriage sufferer and someone suffering with infertility are two different things.

She miscarried twice that we know of and carried Ziggy to full term (cause he’s not actually a preemie), so she is not only manipulating her audience but posting potentially triggering images on awareness hashtags.

Has acknowledged the well deserved criticisms for splashing Ziggy all over Instagram and in her ads, says she doesn’t care about it

Slept with earphones/plugs in to drown out an upset crying Ziggy

Removed his comforter from him and went to bed with it herself. Wondered why he was so distressed

Changes how long Ziggy was initially in the NICU for depending on her mood
Moans she’s so tired, needs a break etc yet consistently takes holidays and has easy mornings

Claims she never wanted a girl yet her Motherhood Edit has a post about gender disappointment and she mentions his gender A LOT

was gifted a snug sofa as if she needed one
Increased the cost of the book club she never works on

Since November where she had 89k followers, it’s taken her up to May 2022 to reach 90.4K followers with thanks to her yearly follow me for a freebie xmas giveaway spree

Said Ziggy was born at 8 months, but she was 37 weeks. Doing my maths that makes her 9 months + 1 week (correct me if I’m wrong on that, my maths is horrendous)

I think they must have had family help with the deposit, and I can’t understand how they managed to secure a mortgage with him seemingly not working (sorry, he looks after Z doesn’t he. Maybe Beth pays him) and her doing whatever it is she does.

Oxfordshire isn’t cheap.

Do we think it belonged to someone they knew? And then they’ve done a private sale at a lower cost? Wonder if the way she went on about her grandma she got something from her?

so strange. I find ugly old radiators Worse than covers personally. But I knew our opinions would differ as I hate most things she dresses ziggy in!
