Best of British drama

So I’m really into British tv dramas and since life slowed down since covid arrived I’ve managed to watch a substantial amount I really enjoyed re watching loads to I’ve just finished unforgotten ( amazing) and recently watched doctor foster and broadchurch I totally forgot how great they were so I thought I’d start a thread I’m now in 4 and Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Luther, Line of Duty, Life on Mars

Bodies is probably the best medical drama I've ever seen. Its by Jed Mercurio same guy behind Line of Duty and the Bodyguard

I'm a big fan of British drama too.

Some that I've watched and enjoyed last few years are:

- The Missing. (Second series even better than first).
- Paula (Very dark).
- Born to Kill (Very good and from the 'makers of Line of Duty').
- Happy Valley (Bloody brilliant).
- The Syndicate series (By Kay Mellor, Light-hearted, lots of big names in all 3 series).
- Cutting It (All series on Britbox).
- This is England film and 3 series (I'm re-watching them all on All4 at the moment).
- The Split (Lots of famous faces in it).
- Love, Lies and Records (Another one with recognisable faces).

The Night Manager is cracking. It's Hugh Laurie, Tom Hollander, Tom Hiddleston and Olivia Colman at their best. Incredible writing, and brilliant TV.

Currently working my way through all of Spooks on BBC iPlayer at the moment. Such a great series.
