I have just heard that Steve Coogan will be playing Jimmy Saville - in a TV Drama about the monster.
The irony!
The BBC covered up his abuse of children and the vulnerable (and the dead) for decades - and now they are making a drama about it??
Will they be highlighting their failings in bringing him to justice?
I doubt it. They will probably give it some lip service, if anything.
I think what makes this so awful is that he died a hero. He could have been imprisoned in the 70s if the BBC had not protected him, preventing countless vulnerable people becoming victims.
Does Coogan understand the irony of this?
