In fact it was Fiona that outed herself by constantly posting about Gadd on SM and going on a live TV interview 😅 genuinely I’m not legally minded so I’m wondering if anyone knows the ins and outs of defamation and whether she would have a case.

He made it clear enough that web sleuths found her within a couple of hours so I think it would.

I also think being called a sex offender is objectively far worse than being called a stalker so she’d have a good case for reputation damage. Plus the emotional toll of the death threats, people now stalking her and the abuse she’s received online. And if Netflix don’t have an iron clad set of proof she did everything stalker to the level they said she did, oh boy could they be in trouble on that - the fact they’ve embellished other aspects would cast doubt on anything they cannot 100% prove.
 
She doesn’t have a reputation to damage. She’s not a public figure and she doesn’t have a job, nor is she qualified in any profession where she could’ve faced disciplinary proceedings etc. It’s not enough just to say people now know who she is and think she might’ve gone to prison. The threshold for reputation damage is high because defamation is thought to be contra free speech so it’s difficult to actually bring a successful claim.

I don’t think that is, though I don’t think it becomes him to claim she’s unidentifiable when she clearly was.

But if he’s then embellished and lied about what she did and she is identifiable then that’s him and Netflix’s problem when she says “hold on now everyone thinks I’m a sex offender and that is from your imagination.”

I thought this was because he was traumatised by being sexually assaulted. He was detached from his body or being able to enjoy a real relationship. He showed that he had put himself in risky situations time and time again because of what had happened to him.

It even messed up what his true feelings about his own sexuality were. He didn't think he deserved love or could enjoy intimacy. He viewed himself as an object, someone to be mistreated. His brain's coping mechanism was to disconnect and be mistreated by others.

The fantasy was a weird moment amongst many others. My take from it is that he couldn't perform because he didn't deserve love or true intimacy, and he didn't love himself at all. His trauma bond to the man who assaulted him had created some crossed wires in his brain where he was connected to someone like Martha (who initially gave him attention and affection that he didn't feel he deserved) who also terrified him. It's a horrific blend of shame and pleasure. Maybe it was also a questionably artistic way to regain some control in his life 🤷‍♀️

General fantasies are often just that, something a bit taboo 😬😬

On PM's channel the day after the interview there was a panel discussion with a couple of lawyers on it discussing this.

I guess she still had an element of control at that point cause she could turn up and heckle him and derail the show if she felt like it. Whereas now she has lost all control as the show has escalated beyond belief, she can’t stop people watching it or talking about it and coming to all sorts of conclusions about her so the only thing she has is holding the threat of legal action against him (however credible!). Well, that and making countless unhinged posts on fb lol 😅
 
She keeps saying she will sue Laura Wray as well but hasn’t she had 20 years to do that? I think if she goes to court there will be masses of stuff coming out about her…like maybe Netflix/Gadd didn’t realise she had harassed the black politician etc, there’s only so much due diligence you can reasonably be expected to do when she somehow keeps escaping prosecution etc. Seems like she would be better off letting this go than have everyone she’s ever potentially stalked etc come out of the woodwork to give evidence and all stalking evidence made a matter of public record

Yeah but that tweet was ten years ago, probably quit since then. She did post a pic of 0% alcohol Gin a year ago

I know not the same, but I have diagnosed body dysmorphia and I don’t understand what I look like - the way I would describe myself is totally different to how other people would describe me. Every time I see myself whether it be in the mirror, a photo, or video I struggle to recognise what I really look like, at the height of struggling I almost felt like like there was multiple versions of myself. It’s hard to explain but If I look at myself long enough, I can easily convince myself I look totally different to what I’m physically seeing. I can only think Fiona’s mind does something similar.

YES!!
I was chatting to a family member today who has clinical depression and she explained being delusional to me and reminded me of a lady we met on one of her hospital stints who was 100% convinced she was Hitler. I thought Fiona might be telling some truths but nope she’s in cloud cuckoo land and believes everything she is telling us. I still can’t believe they’ve been allowed to broadcast her to millions.
 
So this occurred to me yesterday… no one who worked at the pub, drank in the pub, lived in the area, went to a show, saw them together, knows the story or even a “source” has come out to say what they witnessed. I find it odd as based on how big this story is, you would have thought someone other than the fake nephew would have tried to earn a quick buck
