Oh yes, we'd definitely all be going to court, faced with charges that would prosecute us to the full extent of the law. She'd have the top lawyers in the UK on the case no doubt.
 
I was a few years below Richard in school and he was a genuinely nice person to me. I struggled a lot with confidence and self esteem, especially in drama. He mentored my class and he actually helped me not only pass drama but enjoy it. I understand people change and don't get me wrong, there's questionable behaviour in there and no one is perfect but I can see how his nature then and now are similar. I suppose the big difference now is that he was being stalked plus figuring out his romantic likes and he was a victim of SA which clearly complicated and impacted on the way he dealt with things.

Because you can’t report an abuser just because you heard he abused people. But understandably, victims most often don’t come forward because they fear that people won’t believe them or that their own character will be questioned over what happened (we’ve seen this in this very thread too, no?). Sadly, it’s never as easy „why hasn’t he been reported and jailed?“ in abuse cases.
People also knew for decades that Harvey Weinstein abused women. It was an open secret in Hollywood. Yet it took many many years before anyone found the strength to come forward.

It's not as simple as just reporting and bringing to justice, especially with little evidence. Rape convictions are so low in this country.
