I was a gymnast in the Australian team. That horrific environment of fear, being called fat, having fat callipers used on our pre pubescent bodies, being weighed in front of everyone, constantly and being told that if you were not a certain weight you would not qualify for selection in the team, being pitted against each other was rife. Australia thought it too would replicate the “model” from Romania, mental and emotional abuse. Thank god I didn't have a pedophile like Nassar on top over everything else - a pathetic cowardly predator. Munford’s questioning of this creep is unrelenting. Brave athletes all of these women, who, under USA gymnastics Penny, were thrown to the wolves.

It was SO sad but I also don’t think it delved deep enough. Whilst I don’t necessarily want gory details, I know from following the story that he also gave McKayla Maroney a sleeping pill and she woke up being sexually assaulted in his room! Whilst they definitely pointed out what he did was awful, I don’t feel like off the documentary alone you’re really told just how vile he is!! And the fact he was doing it literally the night before big Olympic performances?! Made me feel so ill

I actually cried at all the women in the court room making their impact statement in the court room.

Also loved the lawyer for the prosecution and the newspaper reporters, they seemed to genuinely care about getting justice for the survivors.

Which leads me onto another point, I thought the language used was great, and calling the women survivors instead of victims helped make the documentary all the more powerful.
