anyone here watching anime? :3
i started with the classic ones in childhood: pokemon, sailor moon, dragon ball z (i hated digimon tho) and then when i was just getting into them i watched death note. that's still my favorite anime to this date and i've watched it 5-6 times. it's also less than 40 episodes so easy to go through for a beginner! What are your favourites? I’d love to get back into anime but I’m not sure where to start.
i heard about that one? is it really about cooking?Yeah, I’m currently watching food wars (season 3) and it’s really good
they both seem to be romantic? or is there more to the plot?I enjoyed B Gata H Kei and Ouran High School Host Club.
tokyo mew mew seems cute yuri on ice has been on my list for ages!!! i should definitely watch that nextI used to love Hetalia Axis Powers back in the day if that counts, and tokyo mew mew
I did watch and love yuri on ice
i heard about that one? is it really about cooking?
i usually either google 'name of the show stream' and try a few different websites. crunchyroll doesn't work for me anymore or sometimes i download them!yes! Though it quite literally does the whole ‘food-gasim’ thing but honestly once you get past it there’s real plot and character development
where is everyone streaming? If we’re allowed to ask, I know it can be tricky these days lol
@aimzalicious omg yes you've reminded me of fma and naruto! can't say i'm surprised one of your favorites is death note ❤
one piece - i didn't finish it, i think they're close to about 1000 episodes? i managed about 600. ah that sounds so cool!!! one of the top reasons i want to go to japan is anything anime related and those huge pokemon shops
hxh - i watch the new one. i couldn't get into the older one. i love little killua
also, another classic! bleach!!
oh that sounds like a dream! i can imagine all the jigglypuffsI went to the Pokemon shop!! It's really amazing, but quite tricky to find because it's in this random huge mall and me and my friends got very lost. Everything is expensive in the shop, so next time I go I'm taking a lot more spending money. I bought Slowpoke and Gengar socks, an Espeon mug for my flatmate, and there was a HUGE Wailmer plushie that I wanted, but not sure how I could've got it home
Okay I'll watch the newer one of HxH, I hope it's as good as everyone says!
I never got into Bleach but that reminds me - did you ever watch Inuyasha?
oh that sounds like a dream! i can imagine all the jigglypuffs
enjoy hxh, keep an eye out for killua and hisoka
he's... interestingI know of Hisoka coz my ex said I looked like him when I smiled

Literally wtf. I hope he's a good character atleast! I've seen a few memes with him in
always subbed, never dubbedI own the entire Sailor Moon collection, I watch them with the original Japanese Soundtrack with English Subs, I can't stand the crap american voices.
I've also got Bubblegum Crisis plus the later version and bubblegum crash.
Pokemon from the start right upto Master Quest.
With Bubblegum Crisis you can get away with the dub, I do prefer subs.always subbed, never dubbed
I never bothered with anime growing up, as it was always dubbed by American voice actors and so OTT. I'm not really an anime fan now, but Aoi Bungaku was really unique. I dread to think what it would have been like if it were dubbed! I have seen a bit of the YOI dub, and oh my goodness is it awful. You have an American man pretend to be a Russian man, put on his best cliche accent and butcher the Russian words. And then an American man pretend to be Japanese, by putting on this immature over excited immature accent.... I think they should have used the new release to show a more realistic version of what the character's would have spoke like. Have Russian, Japanese etc voice actors speak in English together but then also in their native languages when appropriate ie Yuri would have spoken English to Viktor, but Japanese when back home to most of the characters, sub that. I wish more drama would show the realistic diversity in languages spoken, there was a Mary Queen of Scots film that constantly switched between French & English etc as the "characters" would have done.always subbed, never dubbed
