I think Nikki's biggest crime was having an affair with a married man. She had clearly fancied him for a while and was all too ready to believe him when he said they were separating. Shanann was away at that time too so he could lie easily.
I don't believe she didn't know about the pregnancy as she had looked at Shanann's profile and there was no hiding of the pregnancy on there.
He's the one in the wrong though and not Nikki.
I've done so much deep diving into this case and disappeared down various rabbit holes.
I think there's still a lot of focus on Chris when really he should be locked away and forgotten. Instead he has people interviewing him, writing to him, and stuff being published where he gets to try and control the narrative. I get why this is happening as he hid his psychopathy so well that nobody could have predicted what he did.
People will naturally be fascinated by the "but why did he make this decision" issue though so I do get it.
However in a way I want the interest in HIM to just disappear and for him to lose the interest and attention he likely craves.
I also think the documentary showed Shanann as a hysterical and bossy person and I'm not sure that's completely accurate. She was definitely a go getter and very focused....lots of women are like this and their husbands don't murder them. Chris had it all, a lovely home, a beautiful wife and two gorgeous little girls with a little boy on the way and he threw all this away as though it was trash. He's lost everything and I'm glad he won't ever see the light of day again.
