I liked E.R too. Was written by Michael Crichton same guy that wrote the Jurassic Park novels :p. I've never watched Greys Anatomy. The best medical drama I've ever watched was actually a British one

You will love it, I know this has kind of turned into the ER thread but its such an amazing show.
I think I will considering the cast, I was a massive CSI and Law and Order fan back then, still am now but it would be
a great chance for me to see actors from CSI and other shows in ER.

Another point of interest, Alex Kingston, holy duck that woman really got around, she was in ER for quite a while
and has turned up in quite a few US shows.

Anyone watching any of the newer shows I've mentioned?

I've not seen but I hear good things about The Resident. Its not medical but you saying you liked CSI and Law And Order made me wonder if you have ever seen NYPD Blue? That was great back in the day. It also had a lot of the same actors from CSI/ER etc.

The Resident is really good but my only issue with the show was the delay of a UK transmission, the same problem I'm having with Chicago Med at the moment. Oh and the main character "mumbles" a lot so you might need subtitles. You do get plenty of really good cliff-hangers which will keep you really gripped to the show.

I didn't see it at the time but I did catch a re-run of NYPD Blue, enjoyed that.

I have so many shows to catch up on. I only like to watch like 2 different ones at a time so people's recommendations really start piling up.

I love a good medical drama. Watched ER religiously (introduced me to George 😍). Also Chicago Hope. Currently watching 3rd season of The Resident. Does anyone remember St Elsewhere? Denzel Washington was one of the main actors.

Another ER fan here, great series, am the odd one out, never was or are a Clooney fan!
My faves were carter n Luka, and a soft spot for Dr Green ( shan't give any spoilers, but Dr Greens story really upset me and the storyline of Luka and carter working abroad was one of the most tense viewing I've ever seen)

For the Chicago Med fans, the most recent series of starts in two fridays time on Sky Witness..

I found it bizarre when Connor operated on a Panda in the OR!

Where did you find this out? I'm interested..

That would tie in with the end of the Current season of The Resident which ends in 2 weeks.

@265 I had been searching for weeks and then I saw an advert on tv for it and then a tweet confirming...
Thank You, this means Season 6 should be with us soon which is what I'm waiting for, I've recently watched Season 5.
Information on transmission dates for this and The Resident has been next to non existent, Geektown hasn't been able to
obtain the information. This is mainly with Universal Channel closing down. Thankfully I was able to catch the latest season
of The Resident with constant checking of the listings.

@265 Its so annoying! I don't understand why they are always months behind..I'm sure the universal channel was owned by NBC, so that shouldn't have been a problem and Sky have shown several things a few hours after USA has seen them..

I had the same problem over a year ago, just before Universal shut down, with luck things will get back into shape, shame there has been some dragging of heels.

Now watching The Good Doctor from the start, hooked already, going to have an "ER" binge probably at the weekend.

Finished watching "The Good Doctor", have to admit this was a weird show because of the lack of guest stars which you would normally get in any TV show.

Good news is that Season 4 will start running in the UK in March and Chicago Med kicks off with Season 6 on the 12th Feb.

I've started watching "ER" not sure about this show, I might put it on hold and check out Grey's Anatomy which is another show I've not seen.

The first 1 of 2 seasons of ER are a little dated now but if you stick with it it is very good

Baby steps me thinks! Oh and Grey's Anatomy is not an option, NowTV have removed it.
Now just signed up for Disney plus for the new Star channel, which is where I will be watching Greys.

Still on the ER binge, season 3 episode 18 and I'm really enjoying the show, okay it's dated but it's
interesting and still quite watchable. What I'm going to find really interesting is the introduction
of new surgical procedures and medical equipment. Like with CSI in the early days they only had
just started using mobile phones which are creeping into the show.

The only odd thing I've noticed is George Clooney's hair.
