After Life 3

I'm kind of torn over After Life. One thing that I hated was him giving the homeless druggie in the first season enough money to overdose and die. The ending of season 3 was very much about him showing that he was a better person and giving some of the characters their 'happily ever after'. What had happened in season one could have been acknowledged by him giving money to a homeless shelter or starting to volunteer to help homeless people? I really dislike that something so huge happened, and then it was just ignored.

Just finished it today. Like others have said one minute I was laughing the next I was sobbing! So good

We have binged watched series 3 tonight - I'm in bits!! As others have said - 😂 one minute, and 😭 the next.

We have enjoyed all 3 series - this one was tying up all the loose ends. I feel so mixed up - I think that is power to RG - that he can create such writing and make the viewer feel such emotion.

Loved all of the characters - wonderful to see Penelope Wilton and Peter Egan together again (I'm showing my age!)

Did anyone else feel the ending - the seasons changing with the trees, that their beloved dog passes away, and then he can let go and be with Lisa? Have I got this all wrong... Husband hasn't seen it like this at all.

Oh my god the bit where the little girl with cancer said her name was Lisa really got me?

Me too, and the little Boy saying "until I go home or to heaven"... Bloody hell 😢😢

[I had too Google it as I thought he was saying goodbye to Lenny. Ricky Gervais said that the ending symbolised that your loved ones are always by your side or something along those lines. I also thought that the dog goes 1st then he dies but hoe soon after, I don't know. It was really heart wrenching I felt]

Ricky has always said the dog doesn’t die. I felt like you when it ended like that.
but like the spoiler bit, it makes sense.

Just finished the series and I did enjoy it but compared to series 1 & 2 it just felt like it didn’t really go anywhere..? I felt the episodes all blurred into one and that there was little character development, especially in Tony. I did like the fact he let Emma move on and didn’t go down the cliche route of him finding love again, but the series could have easily ended at series 2, I don’t think this series really added anything to the story. Slightly disappointed but I agree there were some really beautiful and moving moments.

Can't wait to sit and binge seris 3, loved first two series laughed and cried through it. Sounds like I need a box of tissues for this series too.

I just finished this. I did get slightly antsy in some eps as didnt seem to be going anywhere, i missed some of the actors from other series too but there were some v poignant moments. I balled like a baby in the last episode. The speech about angels, the regrets about Lisa and Stan. For some reason the ending where they're fading away broke me honestly.
