Congratulations go to @PoorKid for providing the new thread title. Adam's been having travel issues lately. Will he stay with Delta, knowing they don't have non-stop flights to many locations he goes to? Or will he change things up? We'll know soon enough.

Adam's "friend" Kevin H. seems to film this damn thing every time he's in MCO just like Adam does...seems like many vloggers have this issue of doing the same things over and over, to different extents.

Giggles and Blackbeard went to the employee preview for HHN last night, courtesy of Blackbeard since he's the one that works for Universal. Maybe that's what she was referring to. And maybe that means she won't be going on Sept 5th (the public opening night) since she's already experienced it?

Here's a recap of sorts...Adam has been away from his home in Celebration since July 18th, the majority of that in SoCal. Before that, he spent the last two weeks of June on a baseball road trip driving from Florida all the way up to Minnesota, over to Pittsburgh and back down to Florida. He didn't seem to have a very good time. He hasn't seemed to have a great time in SoCal either, he spent the morning of his 50th birthday crying in his motel room. He'd planned to go home and then decided not to because he didn't feel like it, but then complained he had spent too much time in Orange County and almost hopped on a plane to DragonCon (he said he wasn't attending this year). News leaked out via his sister on Facebook that his dad was sick in the hospital (something we all suspected for quite some time) and he refused to go home to see him. After this weekend, he'll go to Philly for baseball (the last stadium!) and then he'll go home for a few days before coming back to SoCal to finish "haunt season". Alaska trip in November (his 50th state), Hawaii (Aulani) in December with some of his family (maybe) and 2025 he plans to continue daily vlogging while concentrating on traveling internationally (he says it won't be Disney parks, or cruises, or even the countries "you'd think I'd go first")

I wrote this at the end of the last thread, just my thoughts on his headspace, where he is, and where he's going:

I think he's genuinely doing what wants to do each day, every day. This is what he wants his life to be, at least as far as what he does on a daily basis. He's slowly given up on pretty much every other subject matter beyond theme parks, some cons, and haunt season (at theme parks!). He tried to convince himself the baseball stadium thing was going to "rejuvenate" him, but it clearly hasn't. About halfway through the list (if not earlier) he just started going through the motions in every city. Even his attempts at road trips no longer make any sense and he doesn't seem to have fun on them.

He's happiest being at home, going to WDW, keeping tabs in 192, going to a few Rays games, and then spending most of the summer on the road in SoCal theme parks, away from the Florida weather and then enjoying his beloved haunt season. He's not interested in driving across the country with no agenda anymore, he's scared to do abandoned unless he can get to it via golf cart from his house, he's lost interest in filming locations, he has no energy at all compared to 10 years ago.

5 years ago he figured out he could do what he wanted every day, film it (poorly), edit it quickly (and poorly), shove it out there and he's on easy street, so that's what he's doing. He doesn't care if a few weeks of videos get 35k views. The next few weeks will get 55k and it all evens out in the end, he's on easy street until the suckers who watch him and think it's good realize otherwise, or they die off as they seem to be on the elderly side.

Now, the general behavior, the attitude and the lack of normal relationships with anyone, including his family, is bizarre, getting stranger by the month, and is uncomfortable to watch. I truly believe he's slowly losing his mind and has mental illness. Maybe he knows this on some level and that's why he's going to try the international thing (which seems like a very odd thing for him to do suddenly), in the hopes he snaps out of it. That might be what he means by hoping it "rejuvenates" him.

Just the fact that he said he is spending this year jamming in as many of his "comfort" activities as he can because next year will be international travel "off the rails" (his exact words) shows that he's not looking forward to it and really wants to stay in his cocoon of theme parks, Celebration and SoCal. But there's some part of him desperately trying to shake himself out of it - but that part has been losing the battle for some time, and I don't see that changing with "international" in 2025.

I'd love to be wrong though. I was hoping he'd do international travel 5-6 years ago because it was clear he'd done what he could do in the United States for the most part. I'd love to see him seriously approach international travel in a rational and sensible way, easing into it with English speaking, friendly places like the UK and Ireland, then moving on to the rest of Europe and beyond, traveling by train, meeting real people and doing real things - not theme parks, not doing a video every goddamn day so the quality can be better, etc. September and October of 2025, I'd love to see haunt season in Europe. You can have haunt season, but totally revamp it, turn it upside down, break out of this awful, horrific rut.

But this is what they call a pipe dream. It would require Adam to have a different attitude, mindset and he'd have to want it. I don't think he can change at this point. He's dug himself into such a hole walking back and forth over the same patch of ground, that you can barely see him anymore. This is who he is, and while he pretends to want to change in walk 'n talks ("I'm not going to film in Disney parks anymore" or "I have to cut back on the date and time stamped events, I can't do it anymore!") and by coming up with ideas like going to every MLB ballpark or international travel, none of that will work as long as his brain is the way it is. He will never address the root cause, and is destined to fail because of it.
 
@Kystar hit the nail on the head, Adam figured he had a good time on Hollywood Blvd just the other day running into a Walk of Fame ceremony, so why not go back for Tim Burton's? I should've known he would be shameless enough to go back there that quickly (also, how does Burton not have a star already? I know the timing is to promote the new Beetlejuice movie, but still shocked he didn't have one earlier)

He picks up "a friend" who of course turns out to be Justin. Justin comes prepared in his daily uniform, with a 1989 Batman VHS and sharpies.

You might think that since Adam is there for an event, and he was just there FOUR DAYS AGO, that he would take a break from pointing out all the same tit he always points out. What's the first thing he does? "There's Buster"

and then "Justin, you know this building was re-created exactly at Disney's Hollywood Studios?"

Justin actually pretends not to know and says "that building?" and that allows Adam to explain where it is in Hollywood Studios MGM Studios in detail. Justin: "No kidding!" Adam then documents the people standing in line to get inside the barricades.

Certified mental patient "Melrose" Larry Green is there, of course, and Adam talks to him. Then the people waiting to get inside the barricades are let in, and after that's it's a free for all to get a spot on the street outside the barricades. Nothing defines 2024 Adam The Woo more than this statement as he and Justin go to find a viewing spot: "Let's go, let's go! We've gotta find a spot in the shade though."

The ceremony starts and the emcee is doing the introduction: "We're here today to honor Tim Burton with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!" and then the man keeps speaking, but Adam shifts the camera up, shows this spider on the side of the building above the ceremony, and talks over the emcee to say, "underneath a big spider, which is perfect!"

Maybe just document the event, Adam? Maybe the event, with Tim Burton, Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, etc. is enough without your inane comments talking over the ceremony?

Adam's mental issues are in full effect here. The emcee brings up Tim Burton, but Adam pulls away from that to show Michael Keaton being escorted around the camera area to get to the stage and ignores Tim Burton. Then Winona Ryder is introduced, and Adam cuts most of her speech. Then as his beloved Michael Keaton is being introduced, Adam gets distracted and instead films the cops handing water to someone in the crowd down off to his right who is apparently dehydrated.

Then Keaton starts to speak, and Adam is still preoccupied with the person who is dehydrated, isn't filming Keaton, and actually TALKS OVER MICHAEL KEATON to say "the sun is definitely very hot out, we're standing in the shadow of a tree but everyone else is in the sun." Holy crap, dude.

He cuts a bunch of Keaton's speech, then cuts some of Burton's speech too. Then it's over, and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum head around back to see if they can catch one of the celebs leaving out the rear of the building. They spot an SUV coming out, and thanks to weirdos like them the vehicle needs to be surrounded by security

Then Danny DeVito leaves in a car and a bunch of autograph freaks stand right next to the security guy, who stands in front of the door blocking them, and they are saying "Danny, please sign this post, come on Danny, please!" Gosh, I wonder why he doesn't want to sign?

Adam's filming these sad people and saying "look at this, they're like vultures" and Justin says "that's what ruins it", but Adam and Justin are standing there in the same place, doing the same thing, hoping to get a glimpse or an interaction or an autograph FOR PROFIT, just like everyone else. And neither of them realizes it!

Burton finally comes out, gets in his blacked out SUV, and the entire crowd follows it as it tries to get out of the parking lot, following along and begging, "Please Mr. Burton, just one?", including Justin holding up his Batman VHS and giving the thumbs up. Look how close Adam is to the car:

But he thinks he's better than all these people, that he's just "documenting it for posterity" (he conveniently leaves out the part about how he's profiting off filming it). He and Justin are standing there RIGHT NEXT TO THE COPS who have to surround the vehicle BECAUSE ADAM AND JUSTIN (among others) are right next to it, and they actually say to each other "The poor cops, they must be so stressed out." Are you F'ing kidding me???

I present to you a portrait of a complete asshole. The look of the cop's face says it all.

BTW, the reason it takes so long for the car to exit is that it's a paid parking lot and every vehicle that exits has to pay at the gate before it raises the bar to get out, so it takes what seems like forever.

This sad, sad vlog is over. Probably Disneyland or the Orange Circle today, then HHN tomorrow.

Added bonus: here's Giggles and Blackbeard at the employee preview of HHN last night, and is Chey trolling Adam with the Gene Wilder It's Alive t-shirt (Adam got that same shirt recently at Midsummer Scream)? 😂

She looks good. I'm glad she put on some weight and dyed her hair (probably back more to its original color). She looks happy. Good for them.

My first thought when seeing that picture: Both she and Chey look so much happier than Adam has looked in at least the past four years. Good for them!

I'm so curious to see if he even gets that far. I've seen people speculate about a trip to Germany with GIV as a tour guide, which makes a ton of sense, but after that trip, what other options are there? Are there other international vloggers he's on good terms with?

If the over/under is set at 1.5 trips, the under is an enticing bet.

I don't know of any others, maybe he knows someone in the UK, but the UK would fall under "a place you'd expect him to go first", so I wouldn't expect him to go there based on what he's said (not that his word means anything).

In fact, I wouldn't even consider Germany a "place you wouldn't expect me to go first". It's pretty popular with American tourists, but then again as I sad his word doesn't mean anything. I also have a hard time seeing Adam having a guest like GiV in his vlogs for 2 weeks straight. He's never done anything like that before and I don't think he'd be comfortable sharing the spotlight with anyone else for that amount of time.

It's pretty fascinating, he's backed himself into a corner with his odd announcements and proclamations, perhaps like he's never done before in his entire YouTube career. How he gets out of it and where he goes back on his word will be interesting to see.
