Here we go again... another year, another Celebrity Death Pool!
Welcome regulars, newbies and lurkers.
Voting begins today, December 1st, and ends at 1pm on Sunday 22nd December (a little longer than last year).
All nominations should be places on here (the 2025 thread) otherwise they will not be counted.
The usual rules apply:
•Pick up to 10 celebrities/famous/infamous people who you think may die in 2025
•Your nominees must be notable or well-known and have an entry on Wikipedia
•Points will be awarded for correct guesses as we travel through the year
The points earned are 100 minus the age at death
So, an eighty year old earns you twenty points
A fifty year old earns you fifty points, and so on
Anyone aged 100 or more earns just one point
•No characters or famous animals
•Please be aware we're NOT allowing babies or young children to be nominated
•You can vote for the same celeb as someone else; that is only restricted during Bonus rounds if and when they take place throughout the year.
•All named celebrities will be posted on the thread Wiki page in January.
Further rules/explanations can be discussed as needed. I know, I know; so many rules.
Thanks to everyone who takes part and apologies to those who don't like it.
Remember; we aren't wishing anyone dead (criminals and scumbags aside), and it's just a bit of fun; the same as betting on horses or picking lottery numbers. Dark humour can be subjective, we understand, but no offence is meant.
