I've got a 2003 edition of Mizz somewhere that I bought on eBay when drunk 😭 I'll dig it out and take some pictures. It's cover star was the guy who played Spencer Moon in Eastenders lol. I forgot about Spencer Moon lol I think some of my friends used to fancy him but even back then, I thought...

* terrifying to think blokes could have been writing to these kids!!
* used to love those quizzes so much
* did anyone else think the girls in the fashion bits were such smuggos or was that a hateful poor girly problem?

I think stranger danger at that time (from my memory anywya) was literally still a stranger in the street offering you sweets, does anyone remember using chat rooms in the early 2000s? I look back and am horrified by the fact that I was 100% talking to adults who were trying to groom me. Luckily I never ended up giving my address but I came very, very close

I think it was kind of that stage in between. The internet was definitely a thing, and chat sites etc existed by then.

Honestly I don’t even think I could type some of the stuff I saw, but why were we looking at the most horrific crime scene photographs at 12? And why did they block neopets before that!

I remember someone watching p0rn in an IT lesson too? Like I’m not ancient this is the early 2000s surely the government should have had a better understanding the internet cos iirc they had some blocking technology schools used?

I remember having an induction in college and being warned not to look at porn in the library as one guy the year before had and they called in his parents to show what he had been looking at 😅 I think he was suspended

Memory unlocked reading this lol when I was at college there was a guy who was a bit weird and it turned out he had been watching loadsss of porn while in college. I think it was another student who caught him and told everyone 😅

Wasn't habbo hotel notorious for being full of paedophiles?

The guy watching porn at my college was caught out because we all had to log in to an account with our username and password to use the Internet 😅

No one ever said anything as nefarious to me in Habbo as FB, it was difficult for them to do as if you typed any kind of sexual word or swear word it was automatically replaced with "bobba"
